Certification Fees. 75. When the City and County of San Francisco or the State requires that employees working in classifications represented by the Stationary Engineers, Local 39 to possess a certificate as a condition of employment, or with the approval of the Appointing Officer, the employee receives certification for a related field, or receives certification higher than the minimum required, the City shall reimburse said employee for any fee involved in the issuance or renewal of said certificate. Employees shall suffer no loss in pay for time spent taking qualifying examinations for said certificate. Drivers' licenses are not covered by the provisions of this section.
