Regular Full Time employee - Regular full-time employee shall mean an employee employed to meet ongoing operational requirements on a year-round basis and is scheduled to work the full-time hours contained in Article 18. Regular full-time employees who are laid off shall retain their regular full-time status with the Company while on layoff.
Leave Without Pay for Personal Needs Leave without pay will be granted for personal needs, in the following manner:
VACANCIES & TRANSFERS A. Vacancies shall be considered as a bargaining unit position which the Board intends to fill.
CHECK-OFF UNION DUES 6.1 The Corporation shall, subject to the conditions and exceptions set forth hereunder, deduct from wages due and payable to each employee coming within the scope of this Collective Agreement, an amount equal to the prevailing dues of the Union, including initiation fees, and shall remit the same by cheque, (accompanied by a statement of deductions from individuals) to the Union Local Secretary-Treasurer, not later than fifteen (15) calendar days following the month in which the deductions are made.
Leave Without Pay for the Care and Nurturing of Pre-School Age Children Subject to operational requirements, an employee shall be granted leave without pay for the personal care and nurturing of the employee's pre-school age children in accordance with the following conditions:
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT A. The University and the student will complete and sign a room inventory of occupied space, including the number and condition of furnishings and the condition of premises assigned to the student. This checklist will be completed again at the end of the student’s occupancy and will serve as the basis for determining billable damages to the room and furnishings. The University may require an interim inventory to be completed prior to the end of the student’s occupancy if the University has reason to believe that removal of the furnishings or substantial damage to the premises or property has occurred. Check-outs will occur, barring approval from University Housing, within 48 hours of the actionable event (i.e. Last final of the semester, withdrawal, etc.). Check-outs not occurring within the prescribed time period without the approval of University Housing will be considered an “Improper Check-Out” and will be subject to a $25 fee and any applicable lock and key replacement costs.
Check-Off Payments The Employer shall deduct from every employee any dues, initiation fees, or assessments levied by the Union on its members.
