Christmas Season. Notwithstanding 23.02, vacation requests for the Christmas season will not be allocated on the basis of seniority. Rather, subject to operational considerations, such vacation requests will be allocated to provide employees with vacation over the Christmas season on a fair rotational basis and, where possible, to provide an employee with Christmas Day off every other year.

Christmas Season. Requests for vacation time during the Christmas season from December 15th to December 31st in any calendar year, shall be considered on an individual basis and granting of same will be at the sole discretion of the supervisor in the department. No more than one request per department will be considered and the granting or declining of request will not be the subject of a grievance.
Christmas Season. During the seven (7) week holiday season from approximately November 1st through December 22nd, Licensee will extend the hours of operation on Monday through Friday and Sunday to ten (10) hours per day (from eight (8) hours per day) in consideration of higher traffic and extended store hours by the Licensor. During this seven (7) week period, operating hours for all seven (7) days of the week will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with a posted one (1) hour lunch break from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Within the framework of the ten (10) operating hours per day, Licensee will vary the hours of operation on a region by region and/or province by province basis as the Licensor determines to most closely match the applicable Store’s hours of operation. Operating hours and all lunch hours will be prominently posted in all studios and in all advertising and in-store merchandising materials. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Licensee may provide Licensor with a written request to adjust the hours of operation in respect of Licensed Premises in remote locations. Licensor’s approval for such adjustments shall be in its sole, absolute and unfettered discretion.
Christmas Season. All shift workers will work their normal shifts, according to the master schedule, from December 15 through to the New Year unless prior agreement of Management and Union is obtained. The intent is to ensure Christmas and New Year planning is not upset. There may be conditions where vacations can be granted if the shift can be covered without affecting other shift workers’ days of rest.

  • Vacation; Holidays The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company and vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for senior executives of the Company, which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times.

  • Vacations and Sick Leave The Executive shall be entitled to paid annual vacation leave in accordance with the policies as established from time to time by the Board of Directors, which shall in no event be less than four weeks per annum. The Executive shall also be entitled to an annual sick leave benefit as established by the Board for senior management employees of the Bank. The Executive shall not be entitled to receive any additional compensation from the Bank for failure to take a vacation or sick leave, nor shall he be able to accumulate unused vacation or sick leave from one year to the next; provided, however, such Executive may carry forward from year to year a maximum of ten days of unused vacation leave.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Start Date The parental leave must begin no later than 52 weeks after the day the child is born or comes into the custody, care and control of the parent for the first time for provincially or federally regulated employees. The parental leave of an employee who takes a pregnancy leave must begin when the pregnancy leave ends unless the child has not yet come into the care and control of the parent for the first time.

  • HOLIDAY 6.1 The Executive shall be entitled during the Employment to 30 working days holiday in each calendar year plus bank holidays. Holiday may only be taken at such time or times as the Chief Executive Officer shall approve. The Executive’s holiday entitlement shall be pro rated for the year in which the Employment begins and for the year in which the Employment ends.
