Coaches Code of Conduct. 10.1 The members and the district both believe that the members are role models for our students, schools, and communities.
10.2 The code of conduct will be signed by all coaches prior to the start of their first season of the year and will be kept throughout the year with the building athletic coordinator.
10.3 Members not following the code of conduct can be subject to discipline following the contract. (See Appendix I)
Coaches Code of Conduct. Team values Caledonia Nordic ski club is here to create an environment of safety and gratitude to xxxxxx a growth mindset amongst our athletes while cultivating their sense of courage, curiosity and resilience. As such, we want our athletes to feel safe so they can voice their opinions and concerns and take ownership of their development. Collaboration, inclusion and empathy are the fundamental pillars of our team. Every team member is encouraged to practice self-compassion, aspire to self-regulate, and have the self-awareness to xxxxxx open communication. Team members are encouraged to take ownership, be proactive and focus on solutions. Cultivating an atmosphere of fun, play, and support while prioritizing health is vital to achieving our racing goals and potential. This program’s emphasis is on development in alignment with the LTAD model. We value effort and dedication to allow for a growth mindset. We believe in sport for life – therefore, competition is only one avenue to allow individuals to develop and improve their skiing and shooting abilities. As such, the athlete should feel self-motivated rather than pressured to take part in any aspect of training or racing. We believe it is important to offer a variety of programs to accommodate the different interests of developing athletes. Role*: • To support the team leads and their coaches. • To support athletes and the program as a whole. • To provide education for the athletes and the coaches. • To provide team leads with session plans when needed. • To help monitor the athletes and bring changes to the training plans as needed. • To support team leads and athletes at races. *The coaches’ contract with the club will always take precedence over the coach’s role definitions. Expectation: • Must be able to attend almost every training session. If not able to attend a training session, is responsible for making sure that all of his team’s leads are confident and comfortable delivering the training sessions with the coaching team during their absence. • Is responsible for finding a designated coach who will act in their interim during their absence. • Follow and respect all club policies, codes of conduct and procedure at all times.

Coaches Code of Conduct. Coaching staff have a responsibility to obtain the best results for the team (including winning as many games as possible) whilst also providing development opportunities for each player in the team. These two ideals are often in conflict and will result in the less experienced players in the team receiving less court time than other, more experienced players in many games. Coaches should never guarantee court time as at times players may not hit the court for a variety of reasons. • Never ridicule or yell at a young player for making a mistake or not coming first. • Be reasonable in your demands on players’ time, energy and enthusiasm. • Operate within the rules and spirit of your sport and teach your players to do the same. • Ensure that the time players spend with you is a positive experience. All young people are deserving of equal attention and opportunities. • Ensure that equipment and facilities meet safety standards and are appropriate to the age and ability of all players. • Display control, respect and professionalism to all involved with the sport. This includes opponents, coaches, officials, administrators, the media, parents, and spectators. Encourage your players to do the same. • Show concern and caution toward sick and injured players. Follow the advice of a physician when determining whether an injured player is ready to recommence training or competition. • Obtain appropriate qualifications and keep up to date with the latest coaching practices and the principles of growth and development of young people. • Any physical contact with a young person should be appropriate to the situation and necessary for the player’s skill development. • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person. • Refrain from engaging in negative or destructive discussion or postings on social media about players, coaches, spectators, officials, administrators or other basketball participants, that may be viewed as abusive, harassing or offensive in nature.
Coaches Code of Conduct. I have read and understood the Code of Conduct. I will follow them to the best of my ability and be responsible for my actions. Any set forth punishment will be accepted for my actions. I understand I am a representative of the club and will act accordingly. I also assume the role of witness to both the parents and players signature and it is my responsibility to make sure that the above signed acts accordingly. If for some reason the above signed does not conform to the Code of Conduct, it is my responsibility to report the person to the Board to determine the course of action.
Coaches Code of Conduct. Coaches and advisors agree to abide by a Coaches Code of Conduct and agree to comply with the regulations set forth in the W.I.A.A. handbook. Coaches and advisors agree to be a good role model on and off the court, be in good standing, and exhibit outstanding leadership qualities.
