Local Representatives. 30.01 The Local shall notify the Board in writing of the names of the persons elected to office in the Local and of persons authorized by the Local to represent Teachers in a particular school or workplace on behalf of the Local (Workplace Xxxxxxx).
30.02 The Board shall provide the Workplace Xxxxxxx access to a bulletin board in each workplace for the posting of Local or Local business and information for the Local membership.
Local Representatives. Official Time FTE’s will be allocated based upon the actual or projected bargaining unit members at the locations listed below at the time this agreement is made. The number of FTE’s will be reviewed and adjusted annually on the anniversary date of this MLA based on represented population, unless a significant change in population necessitates a mid-year review. Revised numbers become effective when Supply, Storage and Distribution functions transfer to DLA. **The Council 169 President will advise the Employer on a semi-annual basis of the location to which he/she will assign use of this .5 FTE. It may be allocated as one .5 FTE or two .25 FTE. The Union may choose to use the FTEs as 100% official time, 50% official time, or combinations thereof. The parties intent is that most representational work will be accomplished by representatives on block grants of official time. Accounting for all block grants of time will be accomplished using Appendix B. Other local officials/stewards will normally request release for each incidence of official time, using Appendix A. Requests for official time using Appendix A may not be used in a manner that replicates the effect of a block grant of official time. Use of Appendix A is not required for very brief uses of official time (5 minutes or less) such as responding to an individual e-mail message or answering a phone call. Such use of official time without Appendix A is limited to 15 minutes per day. The supervisor will assess workload and the reasonableness of the official time request. If the official time is disapproved due to workload reasons, the supervisor will indicate when approval can be granted. Local Representatives. To support the full time designated leads with representing staff in the workplace and escalating members issues to the full time representatives.
Local Representatives. The Union reserves the right to appoint or elect a Local Representative, as deemed necessary for the proper representation of the members. There may be one Local Representative for each classification. The Local Representatives’ duties shall be to represent the employees in accordance with the grievance procedures set forth in this Agreement. The Union shall furnish the District the name of the Local Representatives, in writing, and shall promptly give written notice of any changes. The Local Representative(s) may select an alternate Local Representative to fill in during his/her absence. It is recognized and agreed that the Local Representative(s) has job responsibilities as well as work assignments. Local Representatives who need to leave their work assignments for reasons set out in this article shall notify their Supervisor (providing a reason) and request permission to leave. Such permission will not be unreasonably denied. Local Representatives will provide input in the development of Train Operator and Train Attendant schedules as needed. It is the responsibility of the Local Representative(s) to keep their supervisor advised of the amount of time needed to be away from their duties and the reason behind it. Therefore, upon receiving authorization from his/her Supervisor, the Local Representative shall be relieved of work assignments for such periods as may be necessary to discharge his/her job responsibilities in accordance with the terms and provisions of this Agreement, such as:
1. To investigate on behalf of any employee or group of employees any complaint, controversy, grievance, or violation of any part of this Agreement by the District or the Union membership.
2. To present such complaint, controversy, grievance, or violation to the District orally or written.
3. To participate in scheduled investigation, grievance, management or negotiation meetings in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement, and to meet with and accompany the General Chairperson and International Representative through the property and to the office in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.

Except in bona fide emergencies, grievance processing and other matters relating to contract administration shall be handled by Local Representatives during non-working time. However, the Local Representative shall interact with the Employer or its agents during working time for such joint events as grievance meetings, disciplinary conferences and labor-management committee meetings.

Local Representatives. Representatives of the Local shall be admitted to the City's facilities for the purpose of processing grievances or attending meetings with prior notice given to the Chief or Deputy Chief.
Local Representatives. Licensee shall designate one or more representatives who, as needed, can address any issues related to this Agreement in the City, in person, at any time, and who has authority to act on behalf of Licensee.
