CONFERENCES AND TRAVEL. A. The Agencies encourage attendance of employees at appropriate professional conferences and shall post notices of such conferences. However, it must be borne in mind that there must be, at all times, sufficient staff on duty to ensure effective functioning of all departments within an Agency. B. The Agency shall reimburse employees for the actual, necessary and approved costs of attending professional conferences at which attendance is either initiated or approved by the Agency for reimbursement as providing value to the Agency. The cost of a conference or other program which an employee wishes to attend for personal professional enhancement or to meet continuing education requirements of the employee’s profession will not be reimbursed unless the Agency determines that the employee’s attendance provides additional value to the Agency. The selection of employees to attend conferences and the costs of which are eligible for reimbursement shall be at the Agency’s discretion. C. Attendance at Chicago Meetings: Costs involved in attending Chicago meetings as a designated Agency representative are to be paid by the Agency. D. If approved by JCC and subject to availability, all preschool staff at JCC Chicago Early Childhood programs may attend trainings offered by the Xxxxxxxx Xxxxx Early Childhood Training Institute or an equivalent program with the same core areas addressed, including, but not limited to, group development, child development, understanding trauma in young children, challenging behavior, working with parents, and stress management and self-care. Where approval to attend such trainings is granted, preschool staff will be compensated at their regular rate for time spent attending these trainings. Approval will not be unreasonably withheld.

CONFERENCES AND TRAVEL. The District will pay or reimburse the Director for actual, reasonable, and necessary expenses associated with the Director’s travel to and from, and attendance at, professional conferences and meetings, provided that the Director’s attendance is required or authorized in writing by the Superintendent in advance. The Superintendent retains the ultimate discretion to approve or deny any expense on the ground that it is unreasonable.

CONFERENCES AND TRAVEL. A. It shall be the policy of the Board of Education to encourage participation of school personnel in conferences, seminars, workshops and school visitation programs in order to provide opportunities for evaluation and improvement of the total educational offerings of the School District. The Board delegates to the Superintendent the responsibility for determining, within the framework of the allocated funds, the extent to which members of the professional staff shall travel at District expense for the above mentioned purposes. Any teacher receiving approval to participate in any of the above mentioned activities will be reimbursed by the School District as follows: all transportation costs, if commercial transportation is used, or reimbursement at the District rate per mile, if use of a private automobile is approved in advance; all hotel or motel bills; all meals up to a maximum of $22.50 per day; all registration fees, but not to include any area, state or national teacher association or organization dues. B. No more than two designated representatives of the Association will be permitted to utilize up to a maximum of three (3) conference days per year for attendance at the annual Representative Assembly of New York State United Teachers. The District shall not subsidize such attendance in any manner. The Association shall reimburse the District for the cost of any necessary substitute(s) hired to replace Association representative(s) utilizing this provision at the current minimum District rate of per diem substitutes.
CONFERENCES AND TRAVEL. The District will pay, or reimburse the Business Manager for, all valid, reasonable, and necessary expenses associated with the Business Manager’s travel to and from, and attendance at, in-state and outstate (i.e. national conference) professional conferences and meetings, provided that the following conditions are met: (1) the Business Manager’s attendance is required or authorized in writing by the Superintendent or his/her designee; and (2) the total annual expense is preapproved by the Superintendent or his her designee. Mileage will be reimbursed at the current Board of Education determined rate. To obtain reimbursement, the Business Manager must file itemized expense statements in compliance with School Board policy and law. The School Board retains the ultimate discretion to approve or deny any expense.

  • Conferences and Meetings Attend meetings with Contractor, such as preconstruction conferences, progress meetings, job conferences and other project-related meetings, and prepare and circulate copies of minutes thereof.

When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Conference Promptly after the execution of this Contract, Contractor shall confer with the Program Manager, Design Professional, Owner, and Using Agency to identify personnel and relevant organizational charts of each team member, and to establish working relationships with each team member.

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable. B. In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.

  • Communications and Computer Lines Tenant may install, maintain, replace, remove or use any communications or computer wires and cables (collectively, the “Lines”) at the Project in or serving the Premises, provided that (i) Tenant shall obtain Landlord’s prior written consent to the installation of any such Lines (such consent not to be unreasonably withheld), use an experienced and qualified contractor approved in writing by Landlord (such approval not to be unreasonably withheld), and comply with all of the other provisions of Articles 7 and 8 of this Lease, (ii) an acceptable amount of space for additional Lines shall be maintained for future occupants of the Project, as determined in Landlord’s reasonable opinion, (iii) the Lines (including riser cables) shall be appropriately insulated to prevent excessive electromagnetic fields or radiation, and shall be surrounded by a protective conduit reasonably acceptable to Landlord, (iv) any Lines servicing the Premises shall comply with all Applicable Laws, (v) as a condition to permitting the installation of new Lines, Landlord may require that Tenant remove existing Lines located in or serving the Premises that will no longer be used by Tenant and repair any damage in connection with such removal, and (vi) Tenant shall pay all costs in connection therewith. Landlord reserves the right to require that Tenant remove any Lines located in or serving the Premises which are installed in violation of these provisions, or which are at any time in violation of any Applicable Laws or represent a dangerous or potentially dangerous condition. Upon the expiration of the Lease Term, or immediately following any earlier termination of this Lease, Tenant shall, at Tenant’s sole cost and expense, remove all Lines installed by Tenant, and repair any damage caused by such removal.

  • SPECIAL CONFERENCES Special conferences for important matters may be arranged between the Union and the designated representative of the Board upon the request of either party.
