Continued Education. Since both parties to this Agreement appreciate the importance of continued training and professional improvement, each professional employee is expected to establish a continuing plan, therefore, which shall be reviewed on a periodic basis. Continued Education. Employees who are currently employed and for those employees who have been previously employed who do not have a high school diploma and who have a satisfactory performance record, shall continue to be employed provided they are currently working on obtaining their high school diploma, their job performance continues to be satisfactory, and they meet the requirements of any applicable State and/or Federal legislation, regulations or guidelines in effect related to the position in question.

This journey upgrade course will be eight (8) hours per year.   • Special Education The Contractor will not be financially liable for speech, hearing, and language therapy services or other Medicaid-covered services specified in Special Education Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provided to special education students, but it will have written policies and procedures for promptly transferring medical and developmental data and for coordinating ongoing care with special education services. Included within these policies and procedures will be provisions for the Contractor participation in IEP development and monitoring, if so requested.
