Tuition Reimbursement definition

Tuition Reimbursement means the actual cost for the course(s) being taken, to include lab fees, but not to include any other fees. The maximum reimbursement rate shall be based on whether the course work is at the undergraduate or graduate level and reimbursement shall be at the appropriate rate (or equivalent) currently in effect at SUNY Albany for the semester in which you are applying.
Tuition Reimbursement. Employees covered under the terms of this agreement may be eligible to receive tuition reimbursement in accordance with the following formula and conditions:
Tuition Reimbursement. The district will allocate a line item of $21,000 annually for the reimbursement of qualified college tuition incurred while actively serving on a teaching contract as a USD 362 Teacher. Only classes with a grade of “B” or higher will be reimbursed. Pass/Fail classes and credit for district sponsored workshops will NOT be reimbursed. Official college transcripts and receipts of payment, along with a written request specifying the reimbursement sought, must be submitted to the district office by September 15 for reimbursement of the previous academic year (including previous summer). If the number of requests exceeds the allocated amount, reimbursement will be divided evenly among the number of credit hours submitted.  $200 added to the base  Teachers located in any of the master’s degree columns who have maxed out on steps on the published schedule will be given a $520 step annually provided the board does not freeze salaries of all staff.  Teachers who received money from the compensation and beyond program in the prior negotiated agreement will have compensation reinstated.

More Definitions of Tuition Reimbursement

Tuition Reimbursement. Members of the bargaining unit are eligible for tuition reimbursement in addition to continuing education dollars. This program provides assistance for eligible members to pursue baccalaureate degrees in nursing and graduate degrees in nursing or a health related field. The tuition reimbursement fund will be overseen by the CE Committee and administered by Nursing Operations. The tuition reimbursement program will be funded at an annual level of $75,000 per calendar year. Unspent funds shall not be carried over into the following year. Unpaid Educational Leave: Up to twenty-four (24) hours of leave without pay per year shall be granted for educational purposes, providing nursing services will not be jeopardized. Paid Educational/Professional Leave/Time: After six (6) months of continuous employment, employees shall be allowed up to fifty-six (56) hours of paid leave/time per year for education or professional purposes, providing such leave/time shall be subject to scheduling requirements of the Employer, approval by the Employer of the subject matter and certification of attendance and/or completion of the course, where applicable. Educational/professional leave/time may be used on an hourly basis. Educational/professional leave/time accrues on a calendar year basis. Unused time may not be carried over to the next calendar year. Nurse Practitioners will be allowed up to seventy-two (72) hours of paid educational/professional leave/time. Professional leave/time may be granted to employees to attend conventions of employees’ respective professional nursing association provided the number of nurses who wish to attend does not jeopardize provision of health care services. District, State, or National Officers of the Professional Nursing Association shall be exempt from the six- (6) month’s eligibility requirement of this Section. Professional leave/time may be used for professional nursing certification exams. Educational/professional time shall be paid at straight time when taken on a scheduled day off. Paid educational/professional time taken on a scheduled day off shall not be included as time worked for purposes of calculating overtime under Article 7.4 or the accrual of benefits.
Tuition Reimbursement. For each fiscal year (July 1-June 30), the College shall budget $40,000 to be used to reimburse Employees for the cost of tuition for classes taken at regionally accredited institutions which are related to maintaining or improving the Employees skills. The tuition reimbursement must be approved in advance by the College. Employees must apply for approval for a specific class at least fourteen (14) days before it begins. The amount of tuition reimbursement shall be based on the amount of tuition expense incurred by the Employee and will be made within fourteen
Tuition Reimbursement. For each fiscal year (July 1-June 30), the College shall budget $12,000 to be used to reimburse Employees for the cost of tuition for classes taken at regionally accredited institutions which are related to maintaining or improving the Employees skills. The tuition reimbursement must be approved in advance by the College. Employees must apply for approval for a specific class at least 30 days before it begins. The amount of tuition reimbursement shall be based on the amount of tuition expense incurred by the Employee and will be made within 30 days of the submission of official verification that the class was completed with a passing grade and verification of the cost of tuition. No Employee shall receive more than $3,000 per year for approved classes. The tuition reimbursement shall be made in the order of the approval of classes until the fund is exhausted.
Tuition Reimbursement. The District agrees to pay one half (1/2) of the tuition costs for up to six (6) approved credits per teacher taken during each fiscal year (July 1 June 30) except for those credits earned during the 2014/2015 school year. Additionally, for credits earned during the 2015/2016 school year the district will save all requests until June 30, 2016 and pay an equal amount per credit earned up to a budgeted total of 8000.00. All classes that are to be considered for one half (1/2) tuition reimbursement will be limited to certificated or endorsed areas, current assignment, or request of administration. To receive reimbursement, a grade report or transcript and proof-of-payment must be submitted to the District Office by June 30th.
Tuition Reimbursement. As an additional educational bonus/incentive, the County will assist an employee’s furtherance of his/her formal education by partially reimbursing tuition paid for degrees up to and including a Bachelors degree (BA/BS). An employee must attend an accredited college or university (including online courses of study), and the program selected must be pre-approved by the Sheriff. The amount to be reimbursed is limited to fifty percent (50%) of the tuition only, up to a maximum $1,000 per grading period, for successful completion of the grading period. (For online courses, the $1,000 limit applies to an on campus semester/quarter equivalent number of classes.) An employee receiving tuition reimbursement must commit in writing to complete one
