COSTUMES, WIGS, SHOES AND MAKEUP. 1. EMPLOYER agrees to supply the ARTIST with all costumes, wigs, hair coloring, shoes, body make-up, undergarments for any costume that would necessitate their use, and any special make-up and accessories for character roles, and all costume accessories (i.e., jewelry, fans, and so forth) prior to Performances and Dress Rehearsals. An emergency supply of xxxxx pins, needle and thread, scissors, mirror and shoe scraper will be placed off stage on both sides for use during Performances. 2. EMPLOYER shall give each ARTIST at least two (2) pairs of Performance tights, women with one (1) pair of Performance trunks, and men with two (2) Performance dance belt per year. 3. All specialty shoes and/or boots provided to the ARTISTS by the EMPLOYER shall be comfortable shoes. All specialty shoes and/or boots shall be properly repaired and reasonably fitted before any use, and ARTIST shall be expected to go to fittings for that purpose. All performance specialty shoes and/or boots shall be available to the ARTISTS not later than forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the final studio rehearsal or forty-eight

COSTUMES, WIGS, SHOES AND MAKEUP. Revise paragraph (a) as follows: The Employer shallagrees to supply the Artist with all costumes, wigs and shoes of proper size for all performances and rehearsals, as required by the Employer and prior to such performances and rehearsals. The Employer agrees that the same costume will not be worn twice in the same day by different Dancers unless cleaned or laundered and dried. In the event of unforeseeable emergency (e.g., mid-show injury or costume malfunction), a Dancer may be asked to wear a costume that has not been cleaned, laundered, and/or dried, provided the Dancer receives additional payment of $75 per instance. , except in emergency. Dancers will be provided with either three (3) pairs of dance trunks or six (6) dance belts at the beginning of the year, as elected by the Dancer.

During the first week of employment, ARTISTS who wear pointe shoes shall receive one (1) pair and additional shoes as are reasonably needed thereafter throughout the season, as well as soft rehearsal shoes when their use is required by the Employer. Any ARTIST voluntarily leaving the Employer for a dancing position with another Ballet Company, who has not yet exhausted a special shoe order placed through the Employer, shall be required to take any remaining shoes with them and reimburse the Employer for the actual cost thereof. Whenever specialty footwear (i.e., jazz shoes, character shoes, boots, tennis shoes, etc.) is required, fittings will take place as soon as possible and orders will be placed during the next regular business day after fitting. c. The EMPLOYER agrees that the shoe closet will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) Monday through Friday for ARTISTS to come in, see, and try on shoes. For dancers unable to check their shoe inventory during that time, the costume staff will be available at a mutually agreed upon time. At the beginning of each month, the costume department will post the number of pointe shoes each ARTIST has remaining in their inventory. The number posted will report only the number of shoes in stock. If an ARTIST has had an injury or is concerned that their pointe shoe order needs to be augmented, it is the responsibility of the ARTIST to make an appointment with the wardrobe staff. Once the proper shoe has been determined, wardrobe staff will place the order by close of business day. d. The Employer shall maintain its present practices regarding the distribution of tights, leotards, dance belts, and soft-soled shoes as needed by each ARTIST. e. All other character shoes provided to the Artist by the Employer shall be comfortable shoes. All character shoes and boots shall be properly repaired and reasonably fitted before any use, and Artist shall be expected to go to fittings for that purpose. COSTUMES, WIGS, SHOES AND MAKEUP. ‌ A. One (1) week prior to the first week of employment, shoes shall be made available for pickup for Artist(s). At the beginning of the season, the Employer will provide all female Artists with five (5) pairs of pointe shoes and all Artist(s) with one (1) pair of ballet slippers. The Employer will then provide shoes to all Artists on an as-needed basis. The Employer shall provide ribbons and elastics and material for hardening pointe shoes, as available. Artist(s) in their first year with the Employer will receive shoes during the first week of employment provided that they have given the Employer appropriate sizing information in a timely fashion. B. One week prior to the first dress rehearsal, the female Artist(s) shall receive one (1) new pair of tights and additional pair of tights as needed thereafter, for dress rehearsals and performances only. All female Artists shall be provided with no less than one (1) new pair of dance trunks and one (1) new flesh colored G-string(s), and all male Artists with no less than one (1) new dance belt of their choice at least one week prior to the first dress rehearsal. If Employer requests Artist to purchase the Artist’s own items, Employer shall reimburse a monetary equivalent upon presentation of receipts. C. All character shoes provided to the Artist(s) by the Employer shall be comfortable shoes. All character shoes and boots shall be properly repaired and reasonably fitted before any use, and Artist(s) shall be expected to go to fittings for that purpose. All character shoes shall be available to the Artist not later than forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the final rehearsal or forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the performance, if they are a replacement pair of shoes. D. All Artists’ costumes will be distributed in dressing rooms both on tour or in City of Sarasota, FL no later than by half-hour call, and a wardrobe person will collect each Artist's costumes after the performance and return the costumes to be packed and stored. Artists shall not be required to distribute or pack their own costumes at any time. E. The Employer agrees Artist's costumes will be cleaned at the beginning of each season and after fifteen (15) wearings of each costume thereafter. The Employer agrees to launder all washable performance items (e.g., tights, trunks, dance belts, unitards, etc.) after each dress rehearsal and performance.   • Safety Footwear Employees who are required by the Employer to wear safety footwear, shall be reimbursed for actual footwear costs to a maximum of $175.00 (tax inc.) per year.

  • Footwear Where an employee is required by the College or by legislation, in order to perform his/her duties, to acquire and wear protective footwear, the employee shall provide the College with proof of purchase by March 1 each year and the College shall reimburse such employee, on the first pay day in April in each year, up to a maximum of one hundred and fifty dollar ($150.00). In situations other than the foregoing, the College may, in its discretion, (which discretion shall not be unreasonably exercised) reimburse such expense where it is recommended by the health and safety committee constituted under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
