Course Allowance. 16.3 Where a member is required to attend a course of instruction at the Ontario Police College or the Canadian Police College the member shall be entitled to a weekly allowance of $50.00 while in attendance at such course and the Board agrees to pay the cost of such equipment and textbooks as are authorized by the Chief of Police and the member is required to purchase. The allowance shall be calculated on a per diem basis if the member is in attendance at a course less than a full week. For the purposes of clarity, the member shall be entitled to the allowance if the course is held at the Ontario Police College or Canadian Police College campus or at another location, provided that the other location is outside of the Greater Toronto Area, which includes the City of Toronto, and the Regional Municipalities of York, Peel and Durham.
