Cranes. All cranes, including self-erecting to be paid $4.00 per hour over the Class A rate.
Cranes. The Steelmaking Crane line of progression is a vertical one and people progress and regress through this line based on their job seniority. The current line of progression is illustrated in this Collective Agreement. In the Rolling Mill and the Shipping Crane lines of progression people progress and regress through these lines based on the application of their job seniority to operate a specific crane. The current lines of progression are illustrated in this Collective Agreement. It is understood and agreed that the three crane lines of progression shall operate in the manner described below.
a) The classification of Crane Replacement Operator is the entry level position in each crane line of progression. Employees in this position may be used to fill temporary vacancies within their department in accordance with Article 14, and permanent vacancies in accordance with this Article 13.06. Crane Replacement Operators may be assigned to work on the ground in their department provided:
i) They shall at no time move beyond the entry level position, and
ii) They have completed training in at least two (2) of the cranes in their department, or
iii) Extraordinary circumstances beyond the Company’s control require the Crane Replacement Operator to temporarily work on the ground (eg. Production will shut down)
b) All Crane Operators and Crane Relief Operators are considered to be part of a line of progression with all moves made laterally or vertically as described in this Article

Cranes. 14.1 This section relates to the employment of longshoremen on the Pacific Coast waterfront in the driving of certain cranes and in the operation of certain other mechanical tools.
Cranes. X. Xxxxx operators must submit a copy of their valid training records and certification to the Company before they perform any type of lift on site.
B. Daily inspections are required on all cranes before and during use. Daily inspection records shall be kept and made available to the Company upon Company request.
C. Annual crane inspections, along with daily inspections, must be performed onsite and in the crane.
D. Tag lines must be used for all loads. Tag lines will help control the load in windy conditions that may cause the load to swing, rotate, or become unbalanced.
E. Subcontractors using cranes must post a copy of the crane hand signals that will be used.
F. Subcontractors shall comply with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance and safety requirements.
G. During the lift, no person can be underneath or in any area close to the lifted object where they could be impacted by an unexpected fall or movement of the lifted object.
Cranes. All cranes will be inspected by a competent person prior to each use/during use to make sure it is in safe operating condition. Also, a certification record of monthly inspections to include date, inspector signature, and crane identifier will be maintained.
Cranes. Tenant is solely responsible for annual and quadrennial inspection and testing of the Premises’ operating cranes. All crane certification reports shall be provided to the Port within thirty (30) days of the inspection.
Cranes. The Concessionaire shall provide one mobile Cranes having the capacity to lift a truck with a gross vehicle weight of 30,000 (thirty thousand) kilogram and such posts shall be located at the toll plaza location in consultation with the IC/Authority.

Employees in this position may be used to fill temporary vacancies within their department in accordance with Article 14, and permanent vacancies in accordance with this Article 13.06. When not required to operate cranes, Crane Replacement Operators will be assigned to work on the ground in their department but at no time will they move up any line beyond the entry level position. Crane Replacement Operators shall receive the rate of pay for Crane Operator when assigned to a crane for a pay week. When assigned to another position in accordance with this article, they shall be paid the rate of the job performed.
