Credits Beyond Master’s Degree. For the columns beyond the Master’s degree, any credits in education or in the professional employee’s field of certification or teaching must be identified as approved in-service and/or graduate credits by the institution where the course is taken. In-service credits shall not exceed one-third ( 1/3 ) of the degree category to which they are applicable. Master’s Equivalents certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education will continue to be recognized for salary placement purposes. Current employees holding Master’s Equivalents shall be permitted to work toward the graduate columns as per this provision. Applications for columnar placement in this section must be received no later than one (1) week prior to the regular voting session of the Board of School Directors in September, October, February, and March of each year of this Agreement. All credits must be verified with official transcripts.

Related to Credits Beyond Master’s Degree

  • Master’s Degree Transcripts must be submitted showing the actual completion of the degree requirements, or a transcript plus certification that requirements have been met and the degree will be granted on a specific date. Master’s Degrees other than in the field of education are acceptable only if they are in or relevant to the member’s current subject area of teaching. Examples of degrees relevant to a member’s current subject area would be political science for social studies teachers, engineering for industrial arts teachers, reading, or counseling degrees for all teachers. Approval of degrees in areas other than the member’s current teaching assignment will be at the discretion of the District and will be granted based upon the program needs of the District. Specifically excluded are degrees in fields unrelated to the member’s assignment, such as business degrees for elementary teachers except in response to a specific District program need, and degrees in law and religion.

  • Events Beyond Our Control If an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and prevents Us from performing any of Our obligations under this Contract to any extent, then We are not required to perform that obligation to the extent and for as long as We are prevented by that Event Beyond Our Control. If such an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and We consider it appropriate to do so, We may notify You of the Event Beyond Our Control by any reasonable means, including by a public announcement.

  • Tandem Transit Traffic 12.1 As used in this Section, Tandem Transit Traffic is Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on CBB's network, and is transported through Verizon’s Tandem to the subtending End Office or its equivalent of another carrier (CLEC, ILEC other than Verizon, Commercial Mobile Radio Service (CMRS) carrier, or other LEC (“Other Carrier”). Neither the originating nor terminating customer is a Customer of Verizon. Subtending End Offices shall be determined in accordance with and as identified in the Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG). Switched Exchange Access Service traffic is not Tandem Transit Traffic.

  • Bachelor’s Degree A four-year baccalaureate degree is recommended; however, applicants who complete a minimum of 90 semester or 135 quarter units of undergraduate study will qualify for admission. To be eligible to apply, the applicant must be on track to complete the required units through the summer term that precedes fall matriculation. Advanced Placement (AP) courses for the prerequisites will be accepted as long as the appropriate number of credit hours was received. These courses must appear on your official college transcript or in a letter from the registrar stating that the appropriate number of credit hours was verified by the program.   • Causes Beyond Control Neither party of this contract shall be held responsible for delay or default caused by fire, riot, acts of God, sovereign, public enemy, and/or war which is beyond that party's control. The STATE may terminate this contract upon written notice after determining such delay or default will reasonably prevent successful performance of the contract. In the event a cause or causes beyond control impact this contract, the STATE may grant a reasonable extension of time and shall not additionally compensate the PURCHASER.
