Crew Change. 40.1 For Vessels without helicopter landing facilities, crew changes will normally take place alongside a wharf or jetty in Port. Nonetheless, there may arise from time-to-time abnormal circumstances where other procedures may be utilised. 40.2 Tidewater and Employees acknowledge that due to the lack of wharf space availability in Australia that occasionally the use of crew boats in Port anchorages is a legitimate means of crew change subject to safe operating procedures being in place. 40.3 Crew changes At Sea in abnormal circumstances or by personnel basket or capsule will only be undertaken in accordance with normal safety procedures and with the approval of the Master of the Vessel involved. Employees who are to be transferred by personnel basket or capsule must advise the Master of the Vessel of their agreement or disagreement for such transfer.

For crew change other than alongside, evidence of requests for berthing space having been refused will be provided. 46.3 Crew changes At Sea in abnormal circumstances, including by personnel basket, capsule or vessel to vessel transfers, will only be undertaken in accordance with normal safety procedures and with the approval of the Master of the Vessel involved and after agreement with the Union. 46.4 The parties recognise that the transfer of personnel by basket is a potentially high-risk operation and where those special circumstances necessitate its use, then strict adherence to the following written procedures must be observed: a) The rig will provide certification to the Master of the Vessel intended for personnel basket change before the intended crew change takes as follows: (i) crane running/associated gear certificates; (ii) the crane operators certificate; and (iii) the personnel basket SWL certificate. b) Transfers will only take place in daylight and clear weather conditions; c) Personnel must receive verbal instruction on the procedure for basket transfers prior to undertaking the transfer. The person delivering the verbal instruction must be competent and experienced in basket use and fully aware of all safety requirements; d) It must be established that the Vessel from which the transfer will be carried out has ample clear deck space to safely received and dispatch the basket and that the vessel's station keeping ability is satisfactory; e) Persons undertaking basket transfer must be provided with high visibility overalls and wear life jackets. Such are to be returned to Xxxxxxx immediately following the basket transfer; f) Vessels, fast rescue craft, or any other lifesaving appliances will be placed on alert during the basket transfer; g) Radio communication between the principals concerned, e.g. responsible persons on the installation and the Vessel, must be established prior to commencement of basket transfer. Crew Change. Each Employee shall arrive at the designated crew change assembly point in sufficient time to clear security as required by the Company and meet the arranged transport for the crew change. If an Employee is unable to make the crew change, when practicable notification must be provided to the nominated Company representative at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. In all cases the onus is on the Employee to establish flight and related details for the crew change from the Company representative. If a crew change can not be undertaken because of a rig shift, the Employee will: If not on duty, be paid as if at work from the time the Employee was scheduled to join the rig; or If on duty, the Employee will either be paid as if the hitch was completed or paid over cycle for days worked in excess of the normal schedule.
Crew Change. (a) Except for the airfare referred to in Clause 5.3(b), the employee will make their way to the designated Assembly Point in their own time and at their own expense, and will arrive in sufficient time to meet the arranged transport for the crew change. Failure to do is considered a serious offence and will render the employee liable to disciplinary action up to and including termination, unless a valid reason can be provided. (b) If the employee is unable to make the crew change, notification must be provided to the nominated Sedco Forex representative at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. Contact telephone numbers are provided on the employee's Offer of Employment Letter and the employee should retain this information for future reference. (c) At Sedco Forex’s discretion the employee may be required to pay the difference in air fares when a reasonable and genuine explanation for missing the crew change cannot be provided by the employee. (d) Any issues regarding the implementation of this crew change clause should be referred to the dispute resolution procedure contained in this Agreement. (e) In all cases the onus is on the employee to establish flight and related details for the crew change from Sedco Forex’s nominated representative. (f) If Sedco Forex cannot crew change because of an offshore facility being moved, the employee will: - If not on- duty, be paid as if at work from the time the employee was scheduled to join the offshore facility; or - If on-duty, the employee will either be paid as if the hitch was completed or paid for days worked in excess of the normal schedule (overcycle).

  • Shift Change Where employees are assigned mid-week to work a non-day shift (whether due to emergencies or a shift change) and as a result lose a shift in the regular work week, such employees will be paid six (6) hours for such loss of earnings.

  • Major Change For a major change referred to in paragraph (1)(a):

  • Status Change Upon the termination of the Optionee’s Employment, this Option shall continue or terminate, as and to the extent provided in the Plan and this Agreement.

  • Schedule Change When a change of work schedule is requested by an employee and approved by the Agency, all forms of penalty pay shall be waived by the employee.
