Crew Leader. A Crew Leader must be a member of the IBEW and in possession of an Ontario Certificate of Qualification as a licensed electrician. The Crew Leader will be responsible for a residential subdivision or job-site and shall receive a four (4) percent per hour premium above the regular journeyman’s rate of pay. The Crew Leader shall have supervisory and/or layout responsibilities and act as company representative when dealing with Builders/Superintendents or Foremen on behalf of the on-site general contractor. The Crew Leader will be responsible for ordering of material and health and safety issues which affect their subdivision.
Crew Leader. In the absence of a crew leader, the District, at its discretion, shall appoint an employee for the duration of the absence. If the acting crew leader serves for one (1) day or more s/he shall receive the crew leader’s rate of pay established for that position from the first day s/he assumed that position.
Crew Leader. In the event an employee is assigned to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a crew leader, such employee will receive an additional one dollar per hour while performing as crew leader. This stipend will remain at one dollar during overtime, call-in, holidays, or any other time premium pay would otherwise be applicable. The Village may designate any employee to be a crew leader and no employee will be entitled to be crew leader simply because that employee previously was assigned to be a crew leader.
Crew Leader. The Company may temporarily assign any employee as crew leader. The employee would be required to perform normal duties and, in addition, be responsible to the Xxxxxxx or Supervisor for the work being performed by the construction and maintenance crew. While so engaged, would receive a premium of one dollar and seventy-five cents ($1.75) per hour over normal basic rate. Applicable to Local Only In any event shall not receive less than the rate of a Utility Person AI plus the premium. When calculating the overtime rate for a Crew Leader, the premium shall not be used in the calculation but will simply be added to pay rate. Management agrees that a Crew Leader receive the premium for each hour involved but in any event it would be not less than the equivalent of four (4) hours of the premium regardless of whether or not worked as a Crew Leader for a lesser period.
Crew Leader. Crew Foreperson shall have two (2) continuous years of on-the- job experience.
Crew Leader. (a) Where the Employer works three (3) or more employees on any one (1) shift on any one
(1) project, one of these employees shall be appointed a Working Crew Leader. The Working Crew Leader shall receive a premium of eight percent (8%) per hour over the hourly rate of the highest classification under their supervision.
(b) Where the Employer works four (4) or more mechanical employees on any one (1) shift on any one (1) project or in a permanent shop, a Mechanical Working Crew Leader shall be employed at eight percent (8%) over the hourly rate of the highest classification under his supervision.
Crew Leader. When the Crew Leader or senior bargaining unit employee on duty replaces the Director of Public Works as a result of his/her absence, said employee shall receive an additional one dollar ($1.00) of pay added to his/her hourly rate for all hours said employee worked in the absence of the Director of Public Works.
Crew Leader. Employees assigned as leader of a crew of three (3) or more employees shall be compensated an additional five percent (5%) of their base salary. A crew leader will be designated where the nature of the job is such that on-site leadership and direction is required.
Crew Leader. A crew leader shall be defined as a person who performs work and directs the work of others. They shall not have the authority to hire, fire, suspend, or otherwise discipline other employees and he shall be a member of the bargaining unit. They shall assist the supervisor and they shall convey the supervisor's instructions but not give direct orders. They shall not do time cards, assign overtime and shall not replace supervision except for emergency non-attendance of supervisor, and for Services - 3rd shift up to two consecutive working days. Crew leaders will be expected to relieve for breaks and replace employees in case of absence, to perform the necessary work in their area. Crew leader positions, as required by the Company, will be posted and awarded as outlined in Article 16.
Crew Leader. 13.1 The Crew Leader of the press room shall be the judge of an employee's competency as a worker and his/her general fitness to work in the workplace. He/she shall select, employ, and supervise all employees in the press room in a manner that ensures that the workforce obtains experience in all aspects of the work in their department. The same principle shall also apply to the Dock Supervisor who is the Employer’s representative, and who shall be the judge of a Dock employee’s competency and his/her general fitness to work. He/she shall select and employ all Dock employees, and discharge for cause that he/she deems sufficient. Upon demand, the Dock Supervisor shall immediately give the reason for discharge in writing. The Crew Leader and supervisor of the engraving department shall be the judge of an employee’s competency as a worker and his/her general fitness to work in the office. The supervisor shall select and employ all help, supervise and control all employees in the engraving department and discharge for cause that he/she deems sufficient. Upon demand, the supervisor shall immediately give the reason for discharge in writing.
