Criteria for Reduction. 10.1.4.1 The District's overall instructional program will be given priority consideration. To be considered for retention, the employee must be licensed to teach in the remaining position(s).

Criteria for Reduction a. The retention of contract and probationary employees shall be on the basis of licensure and seniority. (Seniority is defined as the length of current continuous service to the District within the bargaining unit). The District may retain a member with less seniority if the District determines that the teacher being retained has more competence. Competence shall be defined as the ability to teach a subject or grade level, based on teaching experience related to that subject or grade level in the past eight (8) years, or based on training and/or educational attainment, or both related to that subject or grade level. If the District wishes to invoke competence as a criterion for reduction, they must first contact the individual members and ask for information regarding their educational attainments, teaching experience, training and other relevant experience applicable to the position in question. If the District identifies a more senior individual as not meeting the definition of competence, the District will then create a training program necessary for the member to become competent. The training program may include the following: college coursework, workshops, program visitations, and mentoring. The member will either accept the training program as a condition of accepting the position or will decline and will thus be laid off. The District will pay the expenses related to the training program.

The parties agree to reopen Article 25.B.2. to align this Section with current law no later than June 30, 2022.   • Criteria for Tenure A. The decision to award tenure to an employee shall be a result of meritorious performance and shall be based on established criteria specified in writing by the University. The decision shall take into account the following:

  • Reduction of Compensation If the Firm fails to meet the submission date by less than thirty days for the draft report and/or working papers submitted to the Office of the State Auditor for review and approval or by less than thirty days from the completion date for the final reports and/or corrections to the working papers prescribed herein, the District may, with the consent of the Office of the State Auditor, reduce the agreed compensation by an amount not to exceed ten percent of the total contract price for the applicable fiscal year. If reports and/or corrections to the working papers are overdue by 30 days or more, the District may reduce, with the consent of the Office of the State Auditor, the agreed compensation by an amount not to exceed twenty percent of the total contract price for the Rev. 10/20 applicable fiscal year.

  • Criteria for Selection a. The Sabbatical Selection Committee shall use four (4) criteria for selection of academic employees to receive sabbaticals. These are: the merit of the sabbatical project, the applicant’s current and previous contributions to the College community, the proposal’s relevancy to the College’s Strategic Plan and whether or not the applicant has had a previous sabbatical. In instances where these criteria are equal, seniority shall be the determining factor.

  • Salary on Reduction A. 1. When a probationary employee is reduced to a class not previously occupied by the employee, the employee shall receive the recruiting step for the lower class and shall receive a new merit increase eligibility date as provided in Section 3.C., above, or the employee's salary and merit increase eligibility date may be determined by the Chief Human Resources Officer.

  • Staff Reduction In the event the District adopts a reduced educational program by reason of financial necessity, including but not limited to, levy failure and/or decreased State or Federal support, certificated employees who will be retained to implement the District’s reduced or modified program and those certificated employees who will be non-renewed from employment or adversely affected in contract status shall be identified by the provisions contained in this Article. If the District is only reducing provisional employees, the following procedures do not need to be implemented.

  • Change in Classification A change in classification shall not alter a nurse’s accrued seniority for purposes of accrual of benefits or placement in the wage schedule.

  • Procedure for Rebate The Association represents to the Board that an internal rebate procedure has been established in accordance with Section 4117.09(C) of the Revised Code and that a procedure for challenging the amount of the representation fee has been established and will be given to each member of the bargaining unit who does not join the Association and that such procedure and notice shall be in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Ohio.

  • Reduction in Force Procedure Should a situation arise which could result in a layoff of Faculty Members, the District shall provide the Federation with a written statement of the basis for the decision with supporting data and projected reductions that may be needed. Upon the request of either party, the District and the Federation shall meet promptly to discuss the impact of such action and any possible alternative courses of action. In the case of a reduction in force, the District shall notify the Federation in writing of the names of all Faculty Members to be laid off. This notice shall be given simultaneously with notification to the affected Faculty Members. This procedure shall also include all notifications of re-employment following a layoff.

  • Selection Criteria for Awarding Task Order The Government will award to the offeror whose proposal is deemed most advantageous to the Government based upon an integrated assessment using the evaluation criteria. The Government will evaluate proposals against established selection criteria specified in the task order RFP. Generally, the Government's award decision will be based on selection criteria which addresses past performance, technical acceptability, proposal risk and cost. Among other sources, evaluation of past performance may be based on past performance assessments provided by TO Program Managers on individual task orders performed throughout the life of the contract. The order of importance for the factors will be identified in the RFP for the specified task order.

  • Selection of Administrator The Parties have jointly selected CPT Group, Inc. to serve as the Administrator and verified that, as a condition of appointment, CPT Group, Inc. agrees to be bound by this Agreement and to perform, as a fiduciary, all duties specified in this Agreement in exchange for payment of Administration Expenses. The Parties and their Counsel represent that they have no interest or relationship, financial or otherwise, with the Administrator other than a professional relationship arising out of prior experiences administering settlements.
