Drawing lots. In the event that the process outlined above does not resolve the layoff or recall procedure, the following criteria shall be used in sequence:
1. Total years of qualified and certified teaching experience including employment prior to employment in Forest Hills Public Schools.
2. By drawing lots or a flip of the coin as the situation dictates.
Drawing lots. Seniority shall accumulate for promotions within the same department and during paid absences (including payment from Worker’s Compensation) because of illness, injury, vacation, military leave (paid or unpaid) or other authorized leave. Employees will not lose any previously accrued seniority in the event of a demotion within the same department, for example, if a sergeant gets demoted, his or her seniority will be a total of the time within the classifications of officer and sergeant combined.
Drawing lots. The recall list shall be maintained for a period of three (3) years for limited contract teachers. Thereafter, an employee on layoff shall lose his/her right to recall. A continuing contract teacher shall remain on the recall list until offered an equal position and the continuing contract recall teacher declines that offer. Nor shall a teacher lose the right to restoration by refusing a position requiring a lesser percentage of full-time employment than the position that the teacher last held within the School District.

Drawing lots. The Association and all employees so affected shall be notified in writing of the date, place and time of the drawing of lots. The drawing shall be conducted openly and at a time and place which will allow affected employees and the Association to be in attendance.
Drawing lots. Each school year, a list shall be prepared by the Director, categorized by position, showing the length of continuous service of each teacher who is qualified to hold any such position. Copies of the list shall be distributed to the Union by February 1 of each school year for verification.
