Drivers Licences. Where the Employer requires an employee to obtain and maintain a driver's licence other than a Class 5 driver's licence:
(a) The employee shall be granted leave with pay pursuant to Master Main Agreement Clause 20.7 to take required courses approved by the Employer and medical examinations required by the Motor Vehicle Branch to obtain and maintain the higher licence.
(b) The employee shall be reimbursed pursuant to Master Main Agreement Clause 20.7 for the full cost of courses approved by the Employer, examination fees, licensing fees and all other expenses required by the Motor Vehicle Branch to obtain and maintain the higher licence. This does not include the 5-year license renewal fee or ICBC Driver Improvement Programs.
(c) Leave of absence with pay will be granted pursuant to Master Main Agreement Clause 20.6 for examinations required by the Motor Vehicle Branch to qualify for, and maintain the higher licence. Subject to operational requirements, the Employer will make available an appropriate vehicle for the road test.

(d) This article does not apply to employees who require drivers' licences other than a Class 5 in order to qualify on competitions for a lateral transfer or promotion.
Drivers Licences. Drivers’ licences will only be reimbursed to employees where the holding of a drivers licence is detailed as an essential requirement in the employee’s position description. Reimbursement will be by one annual payment for each twelve month licence period.

Class ‘B’, ‘C’, and ‘D’ When the Commission requires an employee to obtain a driver’s licence reclassification; or when the Ministry of Transportation, Ontario requires an employee requiring a Class ‘B’ or ‘C’ (Operators (Conventional and Specialized), Skilled Trades) or ‘D’ (Serviceperson & Tireperson) to take a test and/or medical for renewal of his/her licence, the Commission will pay for the cost of the medical and any drivers test. If it is necessary for the employee to take time off from work for this purpose, the time lost will be paid at straight time rates; or if it is necessary for the employee to take the above noted test and/or medical on his/her off duty hours, then he/she will receive two hours pay at straight time rates. D11.1 Employees who are required to hold a driver’s licence for the purpose of performing the inherent duties of the job, in particular Home Support Workers, must ensure they continue to hold a valid driver’s licence whilst employed with Masonic Homes and provide a photocopy [to MHI] of the new licence when they are renewed with the relevant state Registration & Licencing authority.
D11.2 In the event that an employee no longer holds a valid driver’s licence or is disqualified from holding a driver’s licence, MHI must be informed immediately. Employment will be terminated without notice unless other practicable and acceptable employment arrangements can be offered and mutually agreed upon, taking into account the employee’s limited means of transport and availability.
Drivers Licences. (a) Combo, Flusher, Grout, CIPP, Spot Repair, Hydro Excavation Tradesperson must hold a valid DZ or AZ. or AZ/ARZ Driver's Licence.
(b) All other Helpers, Tradespersons, Water Operators must hold a valid G Licence. Drivers Licences. On provision of documentation the Shire will pay for the renewal of the employee’s driver’s licence. The period of payment will only cover one year in any one year. As from the date of lodgement all service pay entitlements will be frozen and there will be no further progression. Service Pay will cease to exist for all new employees. This benefit has been exchanged for the sick leave benefit clause. (Clause 12)
