DUTY-FREE PERIODS. 1. Each teacher shall have no less than a thirty-minute uninterrupted, duty-free lunch period unless the interruption is agreed to by the teacher or an emergency arises. Except in the case of an emergency, the teacher may leave his/her respective building during the lunch period, providing the office of the principal has been notified. 2. Each classroom teacher shall have preparation time during the teacher's duty day to be used for purposes of independent planning or preparation unless an emergency arises. Nothing herein shall prohibit the teacher from using a reasonable portion of this time for a break. It is understood that from time to time building activities may prohibit scheduling this daily preparation time. (2014) a. At the senior or middle school levels the preparation time shall be one regular class period. b. At the K-6 levels the preparation time shall be no less than thirty (30) minutes in length and shall not include the thirty minute duty-free lunch period nor the one-half hour before or after the students' regular school day. No variation may occur without mutual agreement of the teacher and the administrator. Upon mutual agreement, a preparation period may be eliminated one day and added to another day within the same week. 3. All K-6 teachers shall receive a fifteen-minute break in the morning and the afternoon during their student contact day unless a 45-minute preparation period is provided during that time. (2011) 4. A teacher shall not be required to remain with his/her class when it is receiving instruction or supervision from another licensed person unless the teacher is an integral part of the particular project or lesson to be presented as previously requested by the teacher. Such release time shall be used in accordance with Section 2, above.

DUTY-FREE PERIODS. All teachers will have a duty free lunch period of at least thirty (30) minutes, except those assigned noon duty by the building principal not to exceed two (2) days a week.
DUTY-FREE PERIODS. 23.2.1 An employee who is a bid line holder for two consecutive bid periods standing alone (i.e. bid period 1 and 2, 3 and 4, etc.) is entitled to 48 periods of 24 hours free of duty measured in accordance with clause 23.2.2 below. 23.2.2 Duty free periods are measured from the time the employee is released from duty until the employee commences his/her next duty. Duty free periods of 24 consecutive hours, or any period in excess of 24 consecutive hours but less than 36 hours, must be treated as one 24 hour period. Duty free periods of 36 consecutive hours but less than 48 hours must be treated as one and a half 24 hour periods, etc. 23.2.3 Single day refresher training undertaken by an employee as provided in clause 34 must be treated as duty free periods.
DUTY-FREE PERIODS. 1. Each Flight Attendant shall receive not less than five (5) separate periods of forty- eight (48) consecutive hours free from all duty with the Company at his/her home base station during each contractual month. 2. At the option of the Company, one (1) of the said forty-eight's (48's) may be: a. combined with another forty-eight (48) to produce a duty-free period of ninety-six (96) consecutive hours, or b. split into two (2) separate duty-free periods of twenty-four (24) consecutive hours each, or c. split into two (2) twenty-four's (24's), each of which is combined with a forty- eight (48) to produce two (2) duty-free periods of seventy-two (72) consecutive hours, or d. split into two (2) twenty-four's (24's), one of which is combined with a forty- eight (48) to produce a duty-free period of seventy-two (72) consecutive hours and the other scheduled separately. 3. Such scheduled duty-free periods shall be preplanned and indicated on the monthly selection sheet and shall be separated by not less than twenty-four (24) hours.
DUTY-FREE PERIODS. 1. All personnel shall have a duty-free lunch period of thirty (30) minutes during the course of the Standard Work Day as provided for in Article IV A. 2. Such duty-free lunch period shall be scheduled during mid-day, which is defined as including the period 11:15 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. 3. In addition, every effort in Special Education will be made to arrange scheduling so as to provide for a duty free preparation period for Special Education teachers in Special Education facilities.
DUTY-FREE PERIODS. All Check Airmen shall receive 10 pre­scheduled Duty Free Periods (DFP’s) each contractual month. X-Type Check Airmen shall have remaining non-duty days designated as Blank Days. L-Type Check Airmen will have all days not scheduled as duty free periods or work days designated as Blank Days. and during the contractual month the L-Type Check Airman will be notified prospectively that four such days in a 30 day month and five such days during a 31 day month will be converted to DO’s. DFP’s will be scheduled according to the following:

  • Break Periods The parties agree that the paid rest period contemplated by Article 16(e) shall be taken during times that will not interfere with the operation of the Strong Start Centre.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as close as possible to the middle of the scheduled hours of work. The length of the meal period shall be agreed to at the local level and shall be not less than 30 minutes nor more than 60 minutes. (b) An employee shall be entitled to take their meal period away from the workstation. Where this cannot be done, the meal period shall be considered as time worked.

  • Retention periods Documentation which serves as evidence of orderly and proper data processing must be retained by ATOSS in accordance with the applicable statutory retention periods beyond the end of the contract.
