Education Support. A. The parties agree that teachers spend a significant amount of time on various responsibilities. Recognizing that it is in the best interest of the district for teachers to have more time to focus on classroom instruction, teachers shall receive support as outlined in this Article.
B. For articulation reviews conducted after work hours for ESE students with disabilities progressing from elementary to middle school and from middle school to high school, the following compensation will be paid: For each articulation review from the elementary school to the middle school, and ESE teacher from the elementary school, an ESE teacher from the middle school and a regular education teacher shall each be compensated $20 per review conducted. For each articulation review from the middle school to the high school, an ESE teacher from the middle school, an ESE teacher from the high school and a regular education teacher shall each be compensated $20 per review conducted. For each of these articulation reviews, if a speech and language pathologist is also required to attend, then he or she shall also be compensated the $20 per review conducted. Reasonable efforts will be made to schedule articulations as close to the end of the workday as possible.
C. No teacher will be required to be the case manager of a student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) unless that teacher provides or will be providing services to that student or that student’s teacher.
D. No teacher shall be required to complete more than one (1) interim report per quarter per child unless the student is disabled and is not making adequate progress towards IEP goals and objectives.
E. Where a teacher has been assigned to teach a co-taught ESE class and requests not to co-teacher in the upcoming year, the principal shall give reasonable consideration to that request.
F. The district will continue to endeavor to provide alternatives to having the ESE teacher serve as the local education agency representative in an individual education plan conference.
Education Support. On prior approval of the Employer, an employee who successfully completes a course related to their job function shall be reimbursed for up to one hundred (100%) per cent of the tuition fees and costs of texts associated with such course. Appropriate receipts shall be required.
Education Support. (a) An Education Support Employee shall be employed as either:
(i) A Category “A” Education Support Employee; or
(ii) A Category “B” Education Support Employee; or
(iii) A Category “C” Education Support Employee; or
(iv) A “Casual” Education Support Employee.
Education Support. 4.1. The Department hereby commits to provide Education Support to the approved learner/student to assist him/her financially to learn/study and complete the qualification/learning period for which he/she has registered for, as set out in section 2 of this Agreement, subject to the following conditions:
4.1.1. The Department shall pay for subsequent years of learning/study/semester if the learner/student has passed his/her academic year of study.
4.1.2. The Education Support shall be paid directly to the approved institution.
4.1.3. The Department may, in its absolute and sole discretion, being satisfied with the learners/student’s examination result and school reports received from the institution on the learners/student’s progress and conduct, and compliance by the learner/student with all the provisions of this Agreement, undertake on application by the learner/student, to give consideration to renewing and extending financial assistance to the learner/student in terms of this Agreement.
4.1.4. If the learner/student should fail a year of learning/study/semester, a once-off opportunity shall be provided to repeat the year of learning/study/semester. Thereafter the Education Support shall be automatically terminated should the learner/student fail the repeated year of study for the second time.
4.1.5. If the learner/student passes the repeated year of learning/study/semester Education Support will continue until qualification/learning is completed on condition the student/learner does not fail again.
4.1.6. The Education Support and this Agreement will be terminated automatically on successful completion of the qualification/learning.
Education Support the financial assistance granted by the Department to the learner/student, to enable the learner/student to study and complete the period of study/ learning at the Institution as stipulated in section 2 hereunder;
Education Support. 31.01 The Employer will support full time (over thirty (30) hours per week) employees in their pursuit of knowledge and career development by funding formal education programs and required licensing renewals.
31.02 Education support will be rendered to eligible employees for one hundred (100) % of the cost of tuition and books to a maximum of $1,000 per calendar year based on the time of course completion. Courses must be related to current position or be beneficial to the overall success of the Employer.
31.03 Education support must be approved prior to course enrolment and commencement. Participants must achieve a minimum academic grade of seventy (70) % for the course to be deemed successfully completed and be company subsidized.

b. Librarian 1 i. Completion of Probationary Period - $1.00 per hour

(i) a Category “A” Education Support Employee;
Education Support. If item 6 of Schedule 12 specifies that this Contract is an Education Support Contract, then:
(a) this Contract is an "Education Support Contract"; and
(b) the School Bus is an "Education Support Bus".
Education Support. A. The parties support the efforts of the superintendent’s select committee on ESE paperwork, and pledge to continue forward with that joint effort. The superintendent shall continue to evaluate the recommendations of the committee for implementation.
