The Contractor should provide an approach which: Ensures that appropriate individuals are identified by the legal services provider and that policies are in place to ensure continuity of service; Flags at an early stage any legal or management issues impeding swift progress on the project, alongside regular review and reporting arrangements; Manages the legal budgets for the work, including notification when set levels of expenditure are reached and/or additional significant resource is to be brought onto the project by the firm. The Authority will expect the Contractor to ensure that relevant knowledge developed during the course of the appointment is made available to the Authority’s internal legal team through provision of the above reports and updates. The format of this will be discussed in detail with the Contractor. The Contractor will be expected to provide the services in the most cost effective manner, bearing in mind the obligation on the Authority to procure and provide services that offer value for money.
