Emergency Personal Days - After one year of continuous employment a full-time employee may seek approval for the emergency use of one PTO day per calendar year due to extraordinary personal circumstances. After ten (10) continuous years of service a full-time employee may seek approval for the emergency use of two PTO days per calendar year due to extraordinary personal circumstances. Regular part-time employees shall be entitled to no more than one emergency PTO day per calendar year due to extraordinary personal circumstances. Emergency personal days shall be drawn from the employee’s existing PTO bank and do not represent additional PTO days. Emergency personal days may not be taken in less than full day increments. In order to qualify for such days, the employee must apply to the Director of Nursing in writing where possible and state the emergency or personal circumstances that necessitate the absence and make compliance with the normal procedure impossible. Such requests will not be unreasonably denied. Subject to approval, such absences shall not count as an unexcused absence for disciplinary purposes or for purposes of the incentive programs for attendance. ARTICLE 22A: TUITION REIMBURSEMENT‌ Employees shall be eligible to participate in the Hospital Tuition Assistance Program in effect on February 21, 2020 in accordance with its terms.   • Personal Days Employee shall be entitled to three (3) personal days annually, pro-rated for any partial year of employment, the unused portion of which shall accumulate as sick days.

  • Personal Day All employees shall receive a personal day in each contract year. This personal day is in addition to the holidays listed in paragraph 3 above. The personal day shall be scheduled in accordance with the following provision: Employees may select such day off on five (5) days notice to the Employer provided such selection does not result in a reduction of employees in the building below 75% of the normal work staff. Such selection shall be made in accordance with seniority.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.

  • PERSONAL INJURY BENEFITS A. 1. Whenever a teacher is absent from duty as a result of personal injury caused by an accident or an assault and/or battery upon the teacher arising out of and in the course of employment, the teacher will be paid full salary (less the amount of any worker's compensation paid for said injury) for the period of such absence not to exceed 189 working days.

  • Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.
