Personal Days definition

Personal Days year” means the annual period from July 1 of each year to June 30 of the following year. For the period between August 15, 2016 and June 30, 2017, employees shall refer to the terms and conditions as set out in Appendix P.
Personal Days. The superintendent shall be granted three (3) personal days per year. Unused personal days will convert to vacation leave and may be accumulated as noted in item 9.

  • Effective January 1, 2011, when an employee is unable to perform her duties or any available work due to illness or injury and has exhausted her Personal Days and short term disability benefits, the Corporation, at its discretion, may grant leave of absence without pay.

Personal Days as used in this section may be taken for one of the following reasons:
Personal Days teachers can take a “Personal Day” without three day notice if the need arises to care for a family member.
