An Employee Self-Assessment clause requires employees to evaluate and report on their own job performance, skills, and achievements over a specified period. Typically, this process involves the employee completing a standardized form or questionnaire, which may cover areas such as goal attainment, strengths, areas for improvement, and future objectives. The core function of this clause is to encourage self-reflection, facilitate more meaningful performance reviews, and help both the employee and employer identify opportunities for professional development.
Employee self-assessment. Each employee shall prepare a written self-assessment that includes the following: A self-evaluation of the employee's own performance during the relevant rating period; Suggestions for ways that the employee and the employee's supervisor can enhance the employee's contribution to the College's mission, goals, and objectives; and Suggested training and/or other methods to promote the development of the employee's career objectives at the College.
Employee self-assessment. Employees are encouraged to provide their supervisors with lists of accomplishments at both the mid-year and the end-of-year performance reviews. These lists may include achievements, contributions, and information from other sources regarding the employee’s performance (e.g., letters, e-mails) that the employee wishes to have considered. The employee may submit the materials up to fourteen (14) calendar days after the conclusion of the appraisal period. Employees will be allowed a reasonable amount of work time, not to exceed two (2) hours, to prepare such assessments.
Employee self-assessment. (1) Employees are encouraged to provide the supervisor with a list of accomplishments at both the midyear and end-of-year rating cycle. This should include achievements, contributions, and information from other sources regarding his/her performance (e.g., letters, e-mails) that the employee wishes to have considered. The employee may submit such materials up to 14 calendar days after the conclusion of the appraisal period. Employees will be allowed a reasonable amount of work time, not to exceed two (2) hours to prepare such assessments.
(2) Performance appraisals will be prepared and reviewed with the employee during a 60-day period from the end of the regularly scheduled appraisal period, absent extenuating circumstances.
(3) At the time the annual rating is issued, the Employer will discuss each element with the employee and document accomplishments on the performance appraisal worksheet.
(4) Any documentation used by the Employer in rating an employee’s performance and which has an adverse effect on the performance appraisal will be provided to the employee for comment. Further, any documentation prepared or received by the Employer which will have an adverse effect on an employee’s appraisal will be provided to the employee within a reasonable period of time after receipt or preparation. The employee should initial any document he/she receives acknowledging only that the Employer has shown such documentation to the employee. Where the employee refuses to initial, the Employer will so note that on the documentation.
(5) For employees under the Employer’s supervision for only part of the appraisal period, the Employer shall also consider:
(a) Any summary appraisal, in written form, that was completed by the employee’s previous manager (e-mail is acceptable). Any documented evidence of performance, as described in (4) of this section, used to support the summary appraisal must be given by the previous supervisor to the current supervisor within 30 days of the completion of the assignment. The current supervisor must keep this material on file with the employee’s performance appraisal form and make it available to the employee in accordance with this section.
(b) When a rating of record cannot be prepared at the time specified in the plan, the appraisal period shall be extended for the amount of time necessary to meet the minimum appraisal period, at which time a rating of record shall be prepared.

Employee self-assessment. 1. Prior to reporting to their work location, employees will complete a self assessment to determine if they are experiencing signs and/or symptoms related to COVID-19.
2. Employees will be requested to take their temperature before coming to the work location; they will be advised not to come to the work location if the temperature is 100.4 or higher.
3. All employees must wash hands prior to arriving to site and should sanitize hands periodically
