Employees on Vacation. An employee on vacation when a paid holiday occurs may arrange with his Supervisor to take a day off with pay in lieu thereof immediately prior to or following his vacation period. However, if the Supervisor is unable to grant the employee either the day immediately prior to or following the employee's vacation period, the employee may arrange with his Supervisor to take a day off with pay in lieu of the paid holiday at some later date mutually satisfactory to the employee and his Supervisor, but it must be taken before April 30th.
