Exposure to Serious Communicable Disease. If in the conduct of official duties, a GR is exposed to serious communicable disease which would require immunization or testing, and if immunization or testing will prevent such disease from occurring, the GR shall be provided immunization against or testing for such communicable disease without cost to the GR upon request.

Exposure to Serious Communicable Disease. If in the conduct of official duties an employee is exposed to a serious communicable disease or is determined by Occupational Health to have had a high risk exposure to a disease which would require immunization, testing or treatment, the employee shall be provided immunization against, testing for, or treatment of such communicable disease without cost to the employee. Employees who Occupational Health requires to quarantine due to high-risk exposures at work as determined by Occupational Health, and who are not receiving time loss benefits on a workers’ compensation claim, shall receive paid administrative leave for the lesser of the government-recommended quarantine period for the disease to which the employee was exposed or until they are cleared to return to work by Occupational Health. This section does not apply for nurses while they are assigned to work from home.
Exposure to Serious Communicable Disease. 35 If, in the conduct of their duties, a Nurse is exposed to a communicable disease or has 36 a high-risk exposure to a disease which would require immunization, testing or 37 treatment, the Nurse shall be provided immunization against, testing for, or treatment of 38 such communicable disease without cost to the Nurse if such immunization and testing 39 is obtained through Employee Health. It is understood that treatment for such exposures 40 may be covered by workers compensation, existing health insurance, and other 41 benefits. 43 Nurses who are required to quarantine after high-risk exposures at work, and who are 44 not receiving time loss benefits on a workers’ compensation claim, shall receive paid 45 administrative leave for the government-recommended quarantine period for the 46 disease to which the Nurse was exposed or until they are cleared to return to work by a 47 provider, whichever is longer.

  • Dangerous Goods, Special Wastes, Pesticides and Harmful Substances Where employees are required to work with or are exposed to any dangerous good, special waste, pesticide or harmful substance, the Employer shall ensure that the employees are adequately trained in the identification, safe handling, use, storage, and/or disposal of same.

  • Employees with a Work-related Injury/Disability An employee who was off the State payroll due to a work-related injury or a work-related disability may continue to participate in the Group Insurance Program as long as such an employee receives workers' compensation payments or while the workers' compensation claim is pending.
