Faculty and Professional Learning Community Meetings. H. In the event the Board maintains a traditional dismissal calendar without a weekly early dismissal schedule, faculty and Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings shall normally not exceed forty-five (45) minutes beyond the teacher workday and there shall normally be no more than one (1) PLC meeting per month except in emergency situations. In the event the Board maintains a calendar with a weekly early dismissal schedule, PLC meetings will be held during this time. All early dismissal day activities will be concluded by the end of the normal teacher workday in each building. The early dismissal day preceding parent-teacher conferences and/or before report cards, as well as the week of winter program rehearsals in the event teachers lose their plan time for rehearsal practices, shall be dedicated to teacher preparation. At the request of the Association, at the conclusion of each PLC meeting, teachers will remain in that room for the Association to hold its meetings.

Faculty and PLC meetings currently held on Wednesdays will follow the schedule of Faculty meetings being held on the first and third Wednesday and PLC meetings being held on the second, fourth, and fifth Wednesday of each month. Teachers and administrators working collaboratively may make changes to this schedule in an individual building. Faculty members will be excused from these meetings in the event of unavoidable conflicts with other professional responsibilities. The district will establish up to eight Wednesdays a year for district-wide PLCs. A sample list of district-wide PLCs may include, but is not limited to, special education, reading, art, music, P.E., ENL, and teacher librarians. Some agendas for district-wide PLCs will be created by administrators but attempts will be made to collaboratively form agendas.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Community Services a) Grantee shall provide the community-based services outlined in Texas Health and Safety Code Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter § 534.053, as incorporated into services defined in Information Item G, incorporated by reference and posted at: xxxxx://xxx.xxx.xxxxx.xxx/doing-business-hhs/provider-portals/behavioral-health- services-providers/behavioral-health-provider-resources/community-mental-health- contracts.

  • PROFESSORS, TEACHERS AND RESEARCHERS 1. An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution which is recognized by the competent authority in that other Contracting State, visits that other Contracting State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other Contracting State on any remuneration for such teaching or research.

  • Enterprise Information Management Standards Grantee shall conform to HHS standards for data management as described by the policies of the HHS Office of Data, Analytics, and Performance. These include, but are not limited to, standards for documentation and communication of data models, metadata, and other data definition methods that are required by HHS for ongoing data governance, strategic portfolio analysis, interoperability planning, and valuation of HHS System data assets.
