Record companies wrap their PPL rights in with the film screening licence, but the PRS loyalties are not included. • The film must be shown between 08.00 and 23.00 hrs, and your audience must not exceed the limit for our community room. • The film must not be provided with a ‘view to profit’. • You must have our written permission for showing of film under the Deregulation Xxx 0000. This Agreement confers that permission.

(This shall not apply to pictures produced and distributed outside of the territorial limits of the United States and Canada.) The same wage scales and working conditions that pertain in the 35mm. motion picture field shall apply to 16mm. films. It is not the intent to impose any extra charge where 35mm. subjects are released on 16mm. film.

Hirers should ensure that they have the appropriate copyright licences for film. The Hirer shall ensure that any activities for children under eight comply with the provisions of current legislation, including The Children Act 1989 (as amended). Only fit and proper persons who have passed the appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks should have access to the children. Checks may also apply where children over eight and vulnerable adults are taking part in activities. The Hirer shall provide The Tech management committee with a copy of their DBS check and Child Protection Policy on request. The Hirer shall comply with all conditions and regulations made in respect of the premises by the Local Authority, the Licensing Authority, and The Tech’s Fire Risk Assessment or otherwise, particularly in connection with any event which constitutes regulated entertainment, at which alcohol is sold or provided or which is attended by children. The Hirer shall also comply with The Tech’s health and safety policy. The Fire Service shall be called to any outbreak of fire, however slight, and details shall be given to the General Manager.

You must ensure that any activities for children, young people and adults at risk are only provided by fit and proper persons in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and 2004, the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and any subsequent legislation. When requested, you must provide us with a copy of your Safeguarding Policy and evidence that you have carried out relevant checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All reasonable steps must be taken to prevent harm, and to respond appropriately when harm does occur. Relevant concerns must be reported.
