Fire Alarms. If the property has fire alarms the Tenant must notify the Landlord without delay if a fire alarm “chirps” or has a low battery condition.
Fire Alarms. The sounding of a fire alarm must be taken seriously. In the event of an alarm, residents are to vacate the premises immediately and follow the directions of Residence Staff, SAIT Security, and any fire safety and/or police personnel responding to the emergency. Residents will be instructed by Residence Staff when it is safe to return to their Room. Residents who do not vacate their Room during a fire alarm are subject to disciplinary action. The intentional sounding of a fire alarm outside of an emergency situation is a criminal offense and a breach of the Student Residence Agreement. Residents who activate a fire alarm through cooking or other means will be assessed charges as directed by the Fire Department; these charges can reach and exceed $1000.00
Fire Alarms. If the Guest notices any deficient activity, such as beeping, from any fire alarm on the Property, the Guest shall notify Lessor immediately. Otherwise, the Guest shall not tamper with any fire alarms or smoke detectors on the Property.
Fire Alarms. Smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, alarm pull stations, and fire alarm horns are there for resident safety in case of fire. Covering or tampering with safety and emergency equipment jeopardizes everyone’s safety and is strictly prohibited. Allegations of tampering with fire equipment that can be substantiated will be referred to the Nevada System of Higher Education Office of Student Conduct. In addition, the involved residents may face the Office of Housing & Residential Life action as well as legal consequences.
Fire Alarms. Fire alarm/mass notification devices and detection systems, audible and visual, shall be indicated with necessary intelligence to produce accurate plans depicting them.
Fire Alarms. If the fire alarms sounds while your group is present in the building all participants must leave the building immediately. Prior to the start of your activity, the group should familiarize itself with the nearest exit routes and the quickest means of egress. Remember to evacuate the Town facility immediately when you hear the audible fire alarm!
Fire Alarms. Never assume that a building alarm goes directly to the fire brigade. Always call ‘999’ in an emergency situation where smoke or flames can be seen. The fire brigade is obligated to respond to any alarm regardless of the cause. Any resident found to have set off a false fire alarm, whether purposely or because of carelessness, is responsible for any charges levied by the fire brigade. Never shower with your bathroom door open as excessive steam can set off a fire alarm. Never place clothing or other items on your heater for the purposes of drying.
Fire Alarms. The Licensee agrees :
(a) to read and obey the fire regulations issued by the Association;
(b) to be familiar with the evacuation procedures as instructed by the Association;
(c) not to remove, damage, interfere or tamper with any fire prevention or fire fighting equipment or notices or any such items provided to ensure the safety of residents. Licensees are reminded that it is a criminal offence to tamper with any such items.
(d) to, in particular, observe any conditions in the fire regulations which are designed to prevent false alarms.
(e) not to obstruct, block, interfere with or misuse any fire doors or fire escape routes.
Fire Alarms. If, due to the actions of the Resident, a fire alarm within the building is triggered and, as a result, the relevant fire authority charges the UniLodge Park Central a false call-out charge or any other charge associated with the triggered alarm, the Resident will reimburse to UniLodge Park Central the full extent of those charges within 14 days of receipt of an invoice from UniLodge Park Central. The fines currently in excess of $1200. The Resident uses and occupies the room, the apartment, the common areas and equipment provided at his or her risk. The Resident releases the Provider/Manager from any claim for injury or loss of property which the Resident has, claims or suffers during the term of this agreement except where it is caused as a result of the negligence of the Provider/Manager. Pay the rent by the due date and by the agreed method of payment Do not use the premises for illegal purposes Do not cause a nuisance or interfere with the reasonable pace, comfort or privacy of any other resident Keep the premises and inclusions clean The resident agrees that cleaning of common area spaces inside any multi share apartment remains the responsibility of all residents in that apartment as this space is provided to only a minority of the providers residents. (Please refer to XXXX Xxx 0000, S247, subsection (1)(e)(ii)) All guests/visitors must abide by the rules of the building and residents are responsible for your guests’ behaviour Do not intentionally, maliciously or negligently damage, or allow anyone else to intentionally, maliciously or negligently damage, the premises or inclusions Abide by the rules of the Tenancy Agreement and rules and regulations of the building Only use the premises for residential purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing Report to UniLodge Park Central any damage/maintenance issues to your apartment immediately Report any damage/required maintenance of building common areas immediately The Resident acknowledges and agrees that the Provider will handle the Resident's personal information (and all third party personal information provided by the Resident) in accordance with the Privacy Act. The Resident consents to UniLodge Park Central disclosing their personal information to related entities and emergency services staff in the event of a serious event. Fire Alarms. 12.2.1. Fire alarms are provided to give warning in case of fire, as smoke and fire can spread very quickly. Always leave the building immediately upon hearing the fire alarm by the nearest available exit (you should be familiar with your escape routes and fire assembly point). If there is a fire in your Accommodation - always sound the alarm by operating the red break-glass manual call point so that the alarm can be raised to allow others to escape quickly and safely.
12.2.2. To prevent unwanted fire alarms or reduce risk to occupants in bedrooms or rooms: Never cover or interfere with the fire alarm detectors, devices or system. Hair / hygiene products – do not use deodorants, hair sprays, heating tongs under or near the room smoke detectors. Showers - please remember to shower with the cubicle doors closed as steam may activate smoke detectors in the outer areas causing an unnecessary evacuation.
