13.04 An employee who is required to work on a general holiday other than Easter Monday, shall be paid two times (2x) her regular rate for all hours worked in addition either to the pay for the holiday or if mutually agreed, a regular scheduled work day, an additional day off work with in lieu thereof. In no case shall an employee be paid for less than two (2) hours at double time.
13.05 An employee who is absent on leave of absence without pay or laid off in excess of fifteen (15) working days shall not be given entitled to receive general holidays or pay in lieu thereof.

10.03 If a general holiday occurs during an employee's annual vacation, the employee shall be given an extra day's vacation with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the employee, or the employee may choose to receive an extra day's pay.
10.04 When a general holiday or holidays fall on a day or days where the Employer's operation is normally closed, employees shall then receive time off with pay as referred to in this general holiday pay article at a time to be designated by the Employer.

10.04 When a general holiday falls on a day when the Employer's operation is normally closed, the next working day shall be declared as the general holiday for which employees shall then receive time off with pay as referred to in this general holiday pay article, unless the Union and the Employer agree to substitution of an alternate day.
10.05 All full-time employees shall receive their regular daily hours a normal days pay at their regular hourly rate of pay for each general holiday.
10.05 10.06 All part-time employees who qualify shall receive general holiday pay based on in an amount equal to one-fifth (1/5) of their the average weekly hours being paid, for each general holiday, and calculated using that were paid to the hours worked in employee during the last four (4) complete calendar weeks (excluding part-time vacation, sick leave, absences for Workers Compensation or other leaves of absence with pay) immediately prior to the week in which the general holiday occurs.
10.07 a) Employees desiring to observe recognized religious holy days will be allowed up to two (2) days’ time off with pay provided that the employee provides her supervisor with at least thirty (30) days written notice of intent and agrees with her supervisor that such day or days will be taken in accordance with any of the following:
i) time off in lieu of Good Friday and/or Christmas Day; or
ii) paid time off by taking vacation or banked days;
iii) working additional hours (flex time) prior to taking the religious holiday; or
iv) taking unpaid days.

GENERAL HOLIDAYS. 10.01 9.01 The following days shall be recognized and considered as general holidays paid General Holidays for which all regular full-time employees shall suffer no reduction in pay on account of the closing of the Employer's businessif not required to work: New Year's Day Labour Day Xxxxx Xxxx Day Thanksgiving Remembrance Day Good Friday Remembrance Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday and any other day or portion of a day designated as a holiday by the Municipal, Provincial or Federal Government, provided that, when any of the above holidays fall on the Sunday, the day substituted by the client shall be observed. Should a general holiday fall on a day other than a regular scheduled work the client's operations be closed the entire day, an additional or part of the day off on Christmas Eve, the Employer agrees to pay employees regularly scheduled to work with on that day their regular wages for the hours they normally would have worked. In the event that the client's operation is opened for part of the day and the Employer is required to provide food services, employees required to work will receive their regular pay shall for the hours worked and the Company will pay them for the hours they did not work due to the closure. At no time will employees receive overtime rates for work on this day, nor will it be given in lieu thereofconsidered a General Holiday as specified above.
10.02 9.02 In order for an employee to qualify for a general holiday with pay employees receive General Holiday pay, they must not have been voluntarily absent, without absent from work on the consent of the Employer, from their scheduled work day on such holiday; or on their scheduled work day immediately prior to or following such holiday. IllnessAny employee who is absent from work on an authorized leave of absence, injuryillness, injury or excused/approved absence shall not disqualify an employee.
10.03 If vacation on the day before or on the day after a general holiday occurs during an employee's annual vacation, shall still receive the employee shall be given an extra day's vacation with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the employee, or the employee may choose to receive an extra day's General Holiday pay.
