GENERAL HOLIDAY - DURING VACATION Clause Samples

The 'General Holiday - During Vacation' clause defines how general holidays are treated when they occur within an employee's scheduled vacation period. Typically, this clause stipulates that if a statutory or recognized public holiday falls during an employee’s approved vacation, that day is not counted as a vacation day but rather as a holiday, and the employee is entitled to an additional vacation day in lieu. This ensures that employees receive the full benefit of both their vacation entitlement and statutory holidays, preventing the loss of vacation time due to overlapping holidays.
