Hours of Work, Breaks, Overtime and Shift Work. Hours of Work The parties have approached the Hours of Work arrangements of this Agreement with the intent of: Maximising the ability of the Company to deliver its services on time and on budget to its clients; and Maximising the ability of employees to gain access to flexible working hours and to accommodate individual needs for time at work and leisure time. Maximising the hours of work and overtime as outlined in clauses 13 and 16 respectively to provide as the basis for operations but can be changed to allow the Company the necessary flexibility and adaptability to meet its work requirements and remain competitive in the market. The ordinary hours of work for Employees shall not exceed an average of thirty-six and three quarter hours (36.75) per week. The ordinary hours of work prescribed herein shall be worked continuously, except for meal breaks and rest pauses, between 7.00am and 7.00pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive. These times may be altered to accommodate local conditions providing a 12 hour span is maintained and the change has the support of the Company and employees at the local level. The Company will consult with affected employees to discuss facilitative agreements. A facilitative agreement provides greater flexibility in the application of the Agreement provisions covering work arrangements including hours of duty. A facilitative agreement will operate in conjunction with the Award and /or Agreement provisions subject to the following conditions: The majority of employees and management at a particular work site or in an individual work group agree to vary normal working arrangements. Both management and the staff affected shall be given a minimum of 7 calendar daysnotice in writing of a proposed change, before implementation. None of the parties affected will unnecessarily oppose any agreement. A party involved in a specific facilitative agreement can review such arrangement and, subject to an appropriate period of notice, withdraw their agreement. In circumstances where a facilitative agreement conflicts with the award and/or the Agreement then the terms of the facilitative agreement prevail. The standard daily hours are eight hours (8) per day except where a facilitative agreement applies Rostered Days Off (RDO) Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in clauses 6.1.1 and 6.1.28 of this agreement, each employee will be entitled to accrue an RDO every four weeks when working eight (8) ordinary hours each day and accruing 0.725 hour...

  • HOURS OF WORK & OVERTIME (Subject to implementation instructions, the following clauses will appear in all collective agreements replacing any provision related to the Work Week and Work Day, Rest Periods, Overtime Definitions, Overtime/Callback Accumulation, Missed Meal Breaks, Meal Allowance, Time Off Between Shifts, and Change of Schedule that existed in the Hospital’s expiring collective agreement:)

  • HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME 12.01 The following paragraphs and sections are intended to define the normal hours of work and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week, or of days of work per week.

  • 00 - HOURS OF WORK 14.01 The Employer does not guarantee to provide work to any employee for regularly assigned hours or any other hours, except as provided for in Article 18.00. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a normal day of work. The normal hours of work shall be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for an eight (8) hour day, with one-half or one hour for lunch at the midpoint of the shift. Forty (40) hours shall constitute a normal week's work, Monday through Friday inclusive. Variances beyond one (1) hour of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. shall be agreed mutually between the Employer and the Business Manager. The one (1) hour variance is conditional upon the Employer giving the Union and affected employees appropriate advance notice. If the foregoing starting or quitting times are changed without mutual agreement, applicable overtime rates shall be paid for any time worked before or after the above hours as a result of the change of the times.

  • HOURS OF WORK i) Where employees are now working a longer daily tour, the provisions set out in this Article governing the regular hours of work on a daily tour shall be adjusted accordingly.

  • HOURS OF WORK AND WORK SCHEDULES 22.01 Except for employees subject to a particular work schedule according to clause 22.10, the duration of the regular work week is established at thirty-five (35) hours generally worked between 9:00 and 17:00 from Monday to Friday.

  • Days and Hours of Work The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. The appointing authority shall fix the hours of work with due regard for the convenience of the public and the laws of the State and the County. Workers occupying part-time positions shall work such hours and schedules as the Board and the appointing authority shall prescribe.

  • Normal Hours of Work 6.01 The normal work day is defined as the twenty-four (24) hour period beginning at 12:00 Midnight.

  • Ordinary Hours of Work The ordinary hours of work will be worked any time between 6.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Ordinary hours of work may be varied by agreement between the Employer and the majority of the employees concerned and the ETU State Secretary (via the relevant full time ETU Official) to accommodate the hours or work required for the most efficient and safe operation of the Employer and the requirements of its client. Where agreement is reached to work alternate hours, occupational health and safety principles will prevail. Proper health monitoring procedures will be introduced and suitable rosters clearly agreed prior to commencing work. Adequate supervision must always be provided. Matters on which agreement may be reached include:

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Consecutive Hours of Work The daily hours of work for each employee shall be consecutive.
