Rostered Days Off (RDOs. Employees will receive 26 RDOs per year.
Rostered Days Off (RDOs. 5.1. It is the intention that RDOs for Offsite Employees will be in accordance with APPENDIX 3 for Christmas and Easter shutdown periods. All other RDOs for Offsite Employees can be taken on any day as agreed in writing (e.g. by email) between the Employer and the Employees. Do you want the Union built into this.
Rostered Days Off (RDOs. (a) For the duration of this Agreement it is agreed between the Parties that a Rostered Day Off (RDO) per four weeks is the preferred method of effecting the 38 hour week. Further, it is agreed that in scheduling the RDO for any group and/or individual the Company is not encumbered in any way to meet it’s commitment to customers.
(b) An RDO may be taken by an employee through consultation with members of his Team and Team Leader with a minimum of twenty four hours notice of such absence. Not more than one employee of any one Team is to schedule an RDO on the same day without approval from his Team Leader or Manager.
Rostered Days Off (RDOs. 26.1 The ordinary hours of work shall be 38 hours per week worked as 19 working days in 20 working day cycle.
Rostered Days Off (RDOs. The Employer and the employees may agree to vary the date of the 4 weekly RDO in order to meet job requirements or personal needs. In such cases employees entitled to an accrued RDO will be paid ordinary rates for the time worked on the RDO and ‘bank’ the accrued RDO. All banked RDO’s are to be taken within 12 months of the time of their original accrual. An employee will be able to bank a maximum of 5 RDO’s only. The Employer shall attempt to accommodate all requests for the taking of ‘banked’ RDOs. However, the taking of such RDOs shall be subject to reasonable operational requirements, which shall be determined by the Employer. At the request of an employee in writing, the employer may allow the employee to ‘cash out’ any accrued RDO’s at Christmas each year without taking the time off. The cashing out of RDO’s will be at the discretion of the employer.
Rostered Days Off (RDOs. Subject to the following, Employees will be entitled to an RDO every fortnight. The date of taking RDO’s will be posted in advance following discussion with the site Consultative Committee.
14.2.1 Time towards RDO’s is accrued on all worked days, Public Holidays, Personal Leave and Annual Leave. Days taken as Leave Without Pay (LWOP) do not accrue time towards RDO’s.
14.2.2 Employees will work a 7.8 hour ordinary working day and bank .8 of an hour (48 minutes) each paid day towards having a paid RDO. This arrangement will give Employees working the 9-day cycle 35 hours ordinary pay for each week of the cycle.
14.2.3 Employees will only accrue time towards RDO’s when working a 9 day fortnight, as specified in clause 14.3.2.
14.2.4 The RDO will be observed by all Employees on the site but will be accrued during plant shutdowns, emergency situations or unscheduled maintenance with Management approval. Where an RDO is worked for reasons outlined herein the day/s shall be:
a) The RDO is suspended to be taken at a mutually agreed date which coincides with an ordinary working day and hours worked will be paid in accordance with Clause 18.1.1 (time and a half ordinary time rates for the first two hours and double time rates thereafter); or
b) The RDO is paid (7.8 hours at ordinary time rates) and the hours worked will be paid in accordance with Clause 18.1.1 (time and a half ordinary time rates for the first two hours and double time rates thereafter).
14.2.5 RDO’s may be banked between 01 June and 31 March of each year and must be taken prior to the next scheduled yearly increase on the 01 June. Any RDO’s not taken prior to the 01 June will be paid out to the Employee prior to the last scheduled pay run before the 01 June incremental increase. Where the Employer requests an Employee to work an RDO, the Employee can bank enough RDO’s to cover the Christmas and Easter closure periods each year, the exact number of days each year will be communicated to Employees by the Company once the Christmas / Easter shutdown periods have been determined by the Client onsite.
14.2.6 Nothing in this clause limits the Company’s ability to roster employees off on alternating Mondays or as otherwise agreed with the Consultative Committee (clause 33), so that each Employee has one work day off during the fortnight.
Rostered Days Off (RDOs. 51.1. From the commencement of the Project, 8 hours’ ordinary time will be worked with 7.2 hours per day paid, and with 0.8 hours per day accruing for a paid Rostered Day Off (RDO). Employees will be entitled to 26 RDOs in each 12 months of continuous service. RDOs will generally be taken in accordance with the indicative RDO calendar attached at Appendix D, subject to the following: • The indicative RDO Calendars have been agreed and are attached at Appendix D. • The dates of these RDOs may be changed from the dates at Appendix D by agreement between the Company and the majority of employees. • The number of agreed RDOs an employee is entitled to under this Agreement is 26 per year. There will be no reduction in the number of RDOs an employee is entitled to under this Agreement each year for the life of this Agreement. Each day of paid leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle of two weeks will be a day worked for accrual purposes. • Work may take place on scheduled RDOs, but in the interests of employees’ health and wellbeing, the Company will endeavour to keep this to a minimum.
Rostered Days Off (RDOs. RDOs for Yard Employees will be taken on a rostered basis with the intention that 50% of Yard Employees take the scheduled RDO in accordance with APPENDIX 3 and the other 50% of Yard Employees take the Friday immediately before the scheduled RDO in APPENDIX 3, or such other day as agreed in writing (e.g. by email) between the Employer and the Employees. Rostered Days Off (RDOs. The payment of 2 hours per week will be accrued to provide one paid day off, each 4- week cycle. RDO’s will initially be scheduled as per the construction industry calendar but adherence will remain flexible for those members of staff wishing to accrue or alter these arrangements. RDO’s may be accrued up to a maximum of 5 days and a maximum of 5 days may be taken at any time. RDO’s may be sold back and retrieved as wages (at overtime rates). RDO’s may be used in lieu of working during wet weather days (refer to clause 23). RDO’s can be taken in part. RDO’s cannot be taken in advance of accruing. All arrangements must be pre-approved by the employer, preferably with 48 hours notice.
Rostered Days Off (RDOs. 27.1.1 Where by virtue of the arrangement of their ordinary working hours an employee is entitled to a day off during their work cycle, such employee will make request to the Company, giving, where possible, 7 days’ notice and in any event at least 3 days notice (or a lesser period by agreement) of their intention to take a Rostered Day Off. In the event of lesser periods of notice being given to the Company of the employee’s intention to take a Rostered Day Off, approval will not be unreasonably withheld. After consultation with employees, and with regard to requirements of the business, the Company will advise employees of their nominated Rostered Day. Where Full-time employees continue to work a 40-hour week average, two hours leisure time will accrue per 40 hours worked or a percentage thereof on a pro rata basis for part-time employees.
27.1.2 RDO’s do not accrue on extra hours worked outside of the set roster.
27.1.3 RDO’s are to accrue on rostered hours worked and entitled leave taken (other than RDO’s and annual leave).
27.1.4 Employees rostered on to work on their nominated Rostered Day will work the rostered hours and will be paid ordinary time plus 20% for each hour worked between 7am and 10pm. The morning penalty of 175% and the night penalty of 150% shall continue to apply.
27.1.5 No employee will be allowed to accumulate more than 2 weeks of rostered time off. If more than 2 weeks have accumulated, any entitlement over and above this amount will be paid out or rostered off. Such payments would normally occur on the employee’s anniversary date although may be paid out or rostered off once such accrual has exceeded 2 weeks. By mutual agreement, the total amount, or any part thereof, of such time accrued may be paid out.
27.1.6 The intention of this clause of the Agreement is to provide for a maximum degree of flexibility in the implementation and the operation of the 38-hour week; also to prevent interference with production requirements.
