Indigenous Cultural Leave. 39.17 An employee who is an Aboriginal person (meaning Indian, Inuit or Metis) and who has been continuously employed for three (3) consecutive months will be entitled to a leave without pay of up to five (5) working days in every calendar year in order to engage in traditional practices such as hunting, fishing and harvesting and other activities to maintain their culture through traditional practices.
