Indirect Services. Partnerships and Referrals Standard 3 is based upon the following Ohio Standard for School Counselors: School counselors collaborate and consult with school personnel, parents/guardians, community partners and agencies/organizations to coordinate support for all students.
Indirect Services. All interns will provide the remaining 180 hours required each semester (360 hours in one semester for school counseling) in professionally relevant activities such as: workshops, in-service trainings, staff meetings, individual and group supervision, documentation, referrals, reviewing video/audio tapes, reading, consultation with other professionals, appropriate test administration and interpretation.
Indirect Services. The Department does not intend to indicate that certain activities are more important than others or that only jobs that have direct contact with community members are acceptable. For example, an FWS student working for the Meals on Wheels Program is performing community service when conducting research on where the program is needed, when recruiting or coordinating volunteers to distribute the meals, or when preparing meals for the pro- gram, despite having no contact with the community resi- dents. Such indirect services are very important in meeting community needs.
Indirect Services a. All services provided during the workshop will be considered Job Readiness activities.
