Junior Rates. (1) The minimum wage to be paid to employees under 21 years of age shall be according to the table below: % of adult minimum rate $ per week Under 17 50 266.13 At 17 60 319.36 At 18 70 372.58 At 19 80 425.81 At 20 90 479.03 (2) The minimum wage to be paid to employees under 21 years of age as specified in this Agreement will increase by the percentage that the Federal Minimum Wage increases on each occasion that it is increased by the Australian Fair Pay Commission.
Junior Rates. This Agreement allows Junior Rates of Pay, a junior Employee is defined as being less than 20 years of age. The rate of pay for a junior employee shall be as follows: Age Percentage of Appropriate Adult Rate Under 17 years of age 50% 17 and under 18 years of age 60% 18 and under 19 years of age 75% 19 and under 20 years of age 85%
Junior Rates. An employee who is aged under 21 and whose position is at the Cadet APS or APS Level 1 classification is to be paid a junior rate of pay, as a percentage of the Cadet APS or APS Level 1 adult rate of pay, as follows:
(a) under 18 years – 60%;
(b) at 18 years – 70%;
(c) at 19 years – 81%;
(d) at 20 years – 91%.
Junior Rates. The Agreement rate of annual salary for a junior employee shall be calculated according to the following scale: 16 55% 17 64% 18 72% 19 82% 20 90%
Junior Rates. Wage rates for juniors shall be varied as a percentage of the appropriate hourly rate calculated to the nearest cent.. 17 years and under 60% 18 years of age 70% 19 years of age 85% 20 years of age 100%
Junior Rates.
5.12.1 A junior employee appointed:
(a) as a school officer at Level 1 or 2; or
(b) services staff employee at Level 0 or 1, will be paid at the following percentage of the appropriate rate for the position performed: Under 16 years of age 55 Under 17 years of age 65 Under 18 years of age 75 18 years and over 100
Junior Rates. 21.4.1 Junior rates shall be calculated as a percentage of the adult rate for the classification for which the junior is employed as per the under mentioned percentages: 20 and over 100% 19 years 80% 18 years 70% 17 years 60% 16 and under 50%
21.4.2 The above junior percentages shall have no application with respect to the employees employed under the provisions of Clause 20 (Classification Structure).
21.4.3 Weekly wages shall be calculated to the nearest 10 cents with any amount less than 5 cents being disregarded.

Junior Rates. 53.1.1 Staff employed under junior rates will work under the supervision of adults and receive the following percentage of the adult wage for the relevant classification of work performed.
