Jury and Witness Duty Full-Time. (a) If an employee is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, or is required to attend as a witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner's inquest in connection with a case arising from the employee's duties at the hospital, the employee shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance provided that the employee:

Where the collective agreement provides otherwise and the parties cannot agree to the standard language, the existing provision will be maintained as non-standard language. Any non-standard provision related to Jury and Witness Duty is to be continued under 15.03.
Jury and Witness Duty Full-Time. If an employee is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, or is required to attend as a witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner's inquest in connection with a case arising from the employee's duties at the Hospital, the employee shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance provided that the employee: notifies the Hospital immediately on employee's notification that he will be required to attend at court; presents proof of service requiring the employee's attendance; deposits with the Hospital the full amount of Compensation received excluding mileage, travelling and meal allowances and an official receipt thereof. In addition to the foregoing, where an employee is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner's inquest in connection with a case arising from the employee's duties at the Hospital on his regularly scheduled day off, the Hospital will attempt to reschedule the employee's regular day off, it being understood that any rescheduling shall not result in the payment of any premium pay. Where the Hospital is unable to reschedule the employee and, as a result, he is required to attend on a regular day off, he shall be paid for all hours actually spent at such hearing at the rate of time and one-half 1/21 his regular straight time hourly rate subject to and above. Where an employee's attendance is required during a different shift than he is scheduled to work that day, the Hospital will attempt to reschedule the shift to include the time spent at such hearing. It is understood that any rescheduling shall not result in the payment of premium pay. Where the Hospital is unable to reschedule the employee and, as a result, he is required to attend during other than his regularly scheduled paid hours, he shall be paid for all hours actually spent at such hearing at his straight time hourly rate subject to and above.
