Leave of Absence Requirements Concerning Leaves of Absence The following conditions and requirements shall apply to all of the leave provisions in this section except sabbatical and military leave. It is understood that any specific conditions or requirements stated shall take precedence over the following general requirements.

  • Other Leaves The parties agree that employees covered by this Memorandum of Understanding are subject to other County authorized leave provisions including but not limited to: military leave, disaster leave, leave for civil service examinations and leave for school or child day care program activities. Specific leave information is available in the Appendix.

  • Unused Personal Leave Since a number for the available personal leave days has been established, a basic discussion will need to be had regarding unused personal leave days. Naturally, these differ from vacation days since the Employer will not always be required to pay the Employee when personal leave is taken. If a dollar amount will be attached to each personal leave day that is unused so that it can be paid to that Employee then, select the first checkbox presented in the list of options provided and record the dollar amount that shall be paid for one unused personal day.   • Other Leave Granting of leave is a matter between the employees and the mill management. The Company will consider length of service and will endeavour to arrange leave of absence to suit the employee's wishes. Employees with ten or more years service will be given special consideration.

  • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Employees when applying for such leave shall indicate the proposed date of departure and return. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.
