LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING - SAFE SCHOOLS a) It is understood that the Board will abide by mandated Ministry of Education initiatives on Safe Schools, in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education. b) It is understood that the Bargaining Unit shall appoint representatives on any Board Committees mandated by the Ministry of Education as a result of Safe School Legislation. c) The Board shall compile, by term, a report summarizing any official suspension or expulsion data that fall within the parameters of the Safe School Act, and forward said report to the President of the Bargaining Unit. d) The Principal shall disclose, in a timely manner, to appropriate Staff any relevant information with regard to any Student into a school under the provisions of The Safe Schools Act.

The Board and the Union will jointly develop communication and training for staff to ensure understanding of the Safe Schools Policy, specifically in the areas of: - violence prevention - work refusal - protection from violence Elementary Teachers’ Federation Thames Valley District School Board Of Ontario - Thames Valley Local Dated The parties agree to establish a committee comprised of three (3) representatives from the Board and three (3) representatives from ETFO, Thames Valley Local, to investigate and standardize practices related to the preparation and issuance of Report Cards. The parties further agree to investigate making available standard comments, in electronic format, which are in accordance with Ministry of Education and Training requirements. The recommendations of this committee shall be established prior to September 1, 2006. The remaining Early Dismissal Day(s) shall be used for Professional Development activities coordinated by the Principal. On these day(s), student dismissal shall be two (2) hours prior to normal dismissal time and teachers will remain for such activities for one hour (1) beyond normal dismissal time. Preparation time missed by teachers on Early Dismissal Days will not be rescheduled.   • Copies of policies; letters of undertaking Each Borrower shall ensure that all approved brokers provide the Security Trustee with pro forma copies of all policies relating to the obligatory insurances which they are to effect or renew and of a letter or letters of undertaking in a form required by the Security Trustee and including undertakings by the approved brokers that: (a) they will have endorsed on each policy, immediately upon issue, a loss payable clause and a notice of assignment complying with the provisions of Clause 13.4; (b) they will hold such policies, and the benefit of such insurances, to the order of the Security Trustee in accordance with the said loss payable clause; (c) they will advise the Security Trustee immediately of any material change to the terms of the obligatory insurances; (d) they will notify the Security Trustee, not less than 14 days before the expiry of the obligatory insurances, in the event of their not having received notice of renewal instructions from that Borrower or its agents and, in the event of their receiving instructions to renew, they will promptly notify the Security Trustee of the terms of the instructions; and (e) they will not set off against any sum recoverable in respect of a claim relating to the Ship owned by that Borrower under such obligatory insurances any premiums or other amounts due to them or any other person whether in respect of that Ship or otherwise, they waive any lien on the policies, or any sums received under them, which they might have in respect of such premiums or other amounts, and they will not cancel such obligatory insurances by reason of non-payment of such premiums or other amounts, and will arrange for a separate policy to be issued in respect of that Ship forthwith upon being so requested by the Security Trustee.

  • Anti-Money Laundering and Red Flag Identity Theft Prevention Programs The Trust acknowledges that it has had an opportunity to review, consider and comment upon the written procedures provided by USBFS describing various tools used by USBFS which are designed to promote the detection and reporting of potential money laundering activity and identity theft by monitoring certain aspects of shareholder activity as well as written procedures for verifying a customer’s identity (collectively, the “Procedures”). Further, the Trust and USBFS have each determined that the Procedures, as part of the Trust’s overall Anti-Money Laundering Program and Red Flag Identity Theft Prevention Program, are reasonably designed to: (i) prevent each Fund from being used for money laundering or the financing of terrorist activities; (ii) prevent identity theft; and (iii) achieve compliance with the applicable provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act, Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 and the USA Patriot Act of 2001 and the implementing regulations thereunder. Based on this determination, the Trust hereby instructs and directs USBFS to implement the Procedures on the Trust’s behalf, as such may be amended or revised from time to time. It is contemplated that these Procedures will be amended from time to time by the parties as additional regulations are adopted and/or regulatory guidance is provided relating to the Trust’s anti-money laundering and identity theft responsibilities. USBFS agrees to provide to the Trust: (a) Prompt written notification of any transaction or combination of transactions that USBFS believes, based on the Procedures, evidence money laundering or identity theft activities in connection with the Trust or any Fund shareholder; (b) Prompt written notification of any customer(s) that USBFS reasonably believes, based upon the Procedures, to be engaged in money laundering or identity theft activities, provided that the Trust agrees not to communicate this information to the customer; (c) Any reports received by USBFS from any government agency or applicable industry self-regulatory organization pertaining to USBFS’ Anti-Money Laundering Program or the Red Flag Identity Theft Prevention Program on behalf of the Trust; (d) Prompt written notification of any action taken in response to anti-money laundering violations or identity theft activity as described in (a), (b) or (c) immediately above; and (e) Certified annual and quarterly reports of its monitoring and customer identification activities pursuant to the Procedures on behalf of the Trust. The Trust hereby directs, and USBFS acknowledges, that USBFS shall (i) permit federal regulators access to such information and records maintained by USBFS and relating to USBFS’ implementation of the Procedures, on behalf of the Trust, as they may request, and (ii) permit such federal regulators to inspect USBFS’ implementation of the Procedures on behalf of the Trust.
