Line Extension. For temporary service beyond sixty (60) feet, the applicants shall pay in advance a fixed fee as set forth in the Cooperative’s Schedule of Nonrecurring Charges. The applicant shall also pay in advance the cost of retiring the temporary service.
Line Extension. A line extension charge may be required due to distance, significant investment, and risk the Cooperative makes for line extensions. The line extension charge shall be paid by the Applicant prior to the start of construction.
Line Extension. (a) Subject to the provisions of the following paragraphs (b), (c), (d) and (e), any potential Subscriber located in an area of the Town built after the Effective Date of this Renewal License and without Cable Service, may request Cable Service from the Licensee. The Licensee shall extend Cable Service to such area promptly, but in no case later than sixty (60) days after all necessary permits are obtained. The Licensee shall expeditiously seek all necessary permits.
(b) The Cable Television System shall be extended automatically, at the Licensee's sole cost and expense, from existing cable plant to any and all areas of the Town containing twenty (20) residences per aerial and/or underground mile of cable plant or fractional proportion thereof. Said Cable Service shall be made available and fully activated to requesting Subscribers no later than sixty (60) days after the Licensee's receipt of permission to attach cable to poles.
(c) The Cable Television System shall be further extended to all areas in the Town that do not meet the requirements of subsection (b) above upon request of the prospective Subscribers in such areas and based upon the following cost calculation: if a request for an extension into a residential area requires the construction of the cable plant which does not contain the twenty (20) residences per aerial and/or underground mile of cable plant or fractional proportion thereof, the Licensee and the potential Subscriber shall each be responsible for their proportionate share of construction costs.
(d) Any potential residential Subscriber located in an area of the Town without Cable Service may request such service from the Licensee. In areas meeting the requirements of Section 4.2(b) above, the Licensee shall extend Cable Service to the area promptly, but in no case later than sixty (60) days after the Licensee's receipt of permission to attach cable to poles. The Licensee shall expeditiously seek all necessary permits. In those areas with less than twenty (20) residences per aerial and/or underground mile of cable plant or fractional proportion thereof , the Licensee shall, within thirty(30) days following a request for service, conduct a survey to determine the number of homes inthe immediate area and shall inform each potential Subscriber of the total cost of the extension and the range of possible contributions (see Section 4.2 (c) above) that will be charged. Line Extension. A Franchisee shall construct and operate its Cable System so as to provide Cable Service to all parts of its franchise area as provided in the franchise agreement and having a density of at least fifteen (15) residential dwelling units per street one-half (1/2) mile of Cable System or where eight (8) residential dwelling units per street one-half (1/2) mile agree to subscribe to Cable Service for at least one (1) year. In addition, all areas which reach such density at any time during the franchise term shall be provided Cable Service upon reaching the minimum density. Subject to the above-described minimum density, any residential dwelling unit located within one-hundred fifty (150) feet of the nearest tap on a Franchisee’s Cable System shall be connected to the Cable System at no charge other than the standard installation charge.
(a) Where the density is less than that specified above, the Franchisee shall inform Persons requesting Cable Service of the possibility of paying for installation or a line extension and shall offer to provide them with a free written estimate of the cost, which shall be provided within fifteen (15) working days of such a request. The charge for installation or extension for each Person requesting Cable Service shall not exceed a pro rata share of the actual cost of extending the Cable Service. If, for example, the density in an area were three (3) residential units per one-half (1/2) mile, Franchisee would pay one-fifth (1/5) of the costs of the extension and Persons agreeing to take Cable Service would pay the remaining four-fifths (4/5).
(b) The Franchisee shall, upon request by any potential Subscriber residing in the City beyond the one hundred fifty (150) foot limit, extend Cable Service to such Subscriber provided that the Subscriber shall pay the net additional extension costs.
(c) Under Normal Operating Conditions, if Franchisee cannot perform installations within the times specified in applicable customer standards, the Subscriber may request and is entitled to receive a credit equal to the charge for a standard installation. For any installation that is not a free installation or a standard installation, the Franchisee shall provide the Subscriber with a written estimate of all charges within seven (7) days of a request by the Subscriber. (c) Any potential residential Subscriber located in an area of the Town without cable television service may request such service from the Licensee. In areas meeting the requirements of Section 5.3(b) above, the Licensee shall extend service to the area promptly, but in no case later than sixty
Line Extension. A. The density requirement for line extension throughout the corporate boundaries of the City shall be fifteen (15) households per cable route mile.
(1) The Grantee shall be reasonable in determining the placement route of the cable so as not to unduly disenfranchise any potential subscriber, or to unreasonably cause a subscriber to pay for cable plant construction as provided for under the Ordinance and Franchise Agreement.
(2) In the event that a subscriber, or group of subscribers, is denied cable service due to insufficient density, as determined by the Grantee, those subscribers may seek recourse through the City to have service extended. The Grantee and the City shall determine if there is an alternative route for the placement of cable that would provide the density of fifteen (15) households without substantial financial hardship for the Grantee.
Line Extension. As generally described in Section 2.6, and more particularly described on Exhibit A-1.
Line Extension. A. If applicable, the CIAC portion of the General Line Extension, as defined in Santee Cooper’s Residential Line Extension Policy will be the amount of the Construction Cost Differential plus any Abnormal Costs.

Line Extension. Every franchise agreement renewed and/or granted after the effective date of this Ordinance shall require every franchised cable operator to extend its cable system to areas of the Town that have a population density of at least 15 households per linear strand mile of aerial cable, which the Town deems reasonable to meet the Town’s needs in light of the costs to the franchised cable operator, and in the Town’s best interests.
Line Extension. Has the same meaning as set forth in Tariff Rule I.
