Line Extension Policy. (a) The Cable Television System shall be extended automatically, at the Licensee's sole cost and expense to any and all areas of the Town containing thirty (30) subscribers per aerial mile of cable plant or fractional proportion thereof, and/or sixty (60) subscribers per underground mile of cable plant or fractional proportion thereof measured from the existing Trunk and Distribution System. The Licensee shall file for all necessary permits no later than sixty (60) days after receipt of a Subscriber's request. The Licensee shall expeditiously seek all necessary permits. Said service shall be made available and fully activated to requesting subscribers no later than ninety (90) days after all necessary permits are obtained. (b) The Cable Television System shall be further extended to all areas in the Town that do not meet the requirements of subsection (a) above upon the request of the prospective Subscribers in such areas and based upon the following cost calculation: The cost of wiring such areas shall be calculated by taking the capital cost of extending such service divided by the number of subscribers in such area minus the costs extending service to the subscriber in an area that meets the thirty (30) Subscribers per aerial mile of cable plant and/or fractional proportion thereof, or sixty (60) Subscribers per underground mile of cable plant or fractional proportion thereof density requirement specified in subsection (a) above. The resulting cost shall equal the per Subscriber contribution relating to line extension of cable service in that particular area of the Town, or = SC * C equals the cost of construction of new plant from the termination of existing cable plant; * CA equals the average cost of construction per mile in the primary service area; * P equals the 30 Subscribers per linear mile of aerial plant, or 60 Subscribers per linear mile of underground plant; and * SC equals the per Subscriber contribution in aid of construction in the line extension area. (c) The Town shall make its best efforts to notify the Licensee, including, without limitation, having the Town Clerk so notify the Licensee, in advance whenever new developments are under consideration by Town agencies.

Line Extension Policy. Within the boundaries of the Service Area, Grantee shall extend service upon request to any person or business for no charge other than the then prevailing normal installation charge unless the Grantee demonstrates to the Grantor's satisfaction that extraordinary circumstances justify a waiver of this requirement.

Line Extension Policy. (a) Consistent with Section 3.1 above, the Cable Television System shall be extended automatically, at the Franchisee's sole cost and expense, to any and all areas of the Town’s Public Ways containing twenty (20) dwelling units or more per aerial mile or sixty (60) dwelling units or more per underground mile of Cable System plant or fractional proportion thereof in non-underground housing development areas of the Town. (b) The Cable Television System shall be further extended to all areas in the Town that do not meet the requirements of Section 3.1(a) above upon the request of dwelling unit owners in such areas and based upon the following cost calculation: (C/LE) – (CA/P) = SC * C equals the cost of construction of new plant from existing Cable System plant; * LE equals the number of dwelling units requesting service in the line extension area and who subsequently pay a contribution in aid; * CA equals the average cost of construction per mile in the primary service area; * P equals the twenty (20) dwelling units per aerial or sixty (60) dwelling units per underground mile of aerial plant; and * SC equals the per dwelling unit contribution in aid of construction in the line extension area. (c) The Franchising Authority shall make its best efforts to provide the Franchisee with written notice of the issuance of building permits for planned housing developments in the Town.
Line Extension Policy. (a) Consistent with Section 4.1(b) above, the Cable Television System shall be extended automatically, at the Licensee’s sole cost and expense, to any and all areas of the Town’s Public Ways containing fifteen (15) dwelling units or more per aerial mile or thirty-five (35) dwelling units or more per underground mile of Cable System plant or fractional proportion thereof. The Licensee shall promptly apply for all necessary permits. Said service shall be made available and fully activated to requesting dwelling units no later than sixty (60) days after all necessary permits are obtained, subject to Force Majeure (including the performance of make ready). (b) In new subdivisions where the utilities are underground, the density is twenty (20) homes per mile or greater, and is contiguous to the Licensee’s trunk and distribution system, the Licensee shall construct its cable lines at no additional cost to Subscribers provided that the Licensee has at least ninety (90) days prior notice concerning the opening of trenching or the installation of conduit for the location of utilities, and provided further that said trenching or installation of conduit is done at the cost of the developer or another third party other than the Licensee. In the event that said trenching and the installation of conduit is at the cost of the Licensee, or that the Licensee receives insufficient notice, the density requirement shall revert to the density for underground areas described in Section 4.2(a) above. (c) The Cable Television System shall be further extended to all areas in the Town that do not meet the requirements of Section 4.2(a) above upon the request of dwelling unit owners in such areas and based upon the following cost calculation: The cost of wiring such areas shall be calculated by taking the capital cost of extending such service divided by the number of dwelling units in such area minus the costs of extending service to dwelling units in an area along the Public Ways that meets the required number of dwelling units per aerial or underground mile of cable plant and/or fractional proportion thereof density requirement specified in subsection (a) above.
