Living Away from Home Allowance (Distant Work. When Employees are employed on a job at such a distance from their usual places of residence that they cannot reasonably return to those residences each night the Company will either: • Provide adequate meals and accommodation; or • Where Employees are provided with accommodation by the Company but where meals are not supplied, an allowance in accordance with Schedule 2 per day will be paid to cover the cost of meals and incidentals, and no further allowances will be payable. This allowance will not be paid at weekends where an Employee returns home. The arrangement will be agreed prior to the commencement of the distant work. Employees will be paid at ordinary base rates for reasonable time spent travelling to and return from distant work. Where Employees use their own vehicles to travel to and from the distant work location, they will be entitled to claim vehicle use as per clause 17.3 where public transport is required to travel to distant work locations, the Company will pay economy class fares.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance ‌ An employee who works two and one-half hours of overtime immediately before or following his/her scheduled hours of work shall receive a meal allowance of seven dollars. One-half hour with pay shall be allowed the employee in order that he/she may take a meal break either at or adjacent to his/her place of work.

  • Deductions from Sick Leave A deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave of all normal working days (exclusive of holidays) absent for sick leave.

  • Overtime Meal Allowances (a) An Employee who is required to work a minimum of two and one-half (2½) hours overtime before or after his/her scheduled hours of work, shall be provided with a meal or shall be reimbursed nine dollars ($9.00). A meal break of one-half (½) hour with pay shall be given at the overtime rate. This section shall not apply to an Employee who is on travel status which entitles him/her to claim for lodging and/or meals.
