Loaded Rates. The Employee loaded rates of pay listed in Appendix “B” are all inclusive rates of pay. All penalties and allowances that may otherwise be payable (such as, but not limited to, penalties for working Saturdays or Sundays or early or late shifts, first aid allowance or for working whilst wet) have been incorporated into the ‘loading’ that is applied to the ordinary full-time rate of pay (which is referred to as the ‘unloaded’ rate of pay throughout this Agreement). The ‘loading’ percentage varies between the different classifications to reflect the different proportion of weekend and early and/or late work generally undertaken by the various classifications. The rates prescribed in this Agreement have been determined by taking into account that the hours of work of permanent Employees are regulated by an equitable roster.
Loaded Rates. The Employee rates of pay listed in Appendix “B” are all inclusive (loaded) rates of pay. All penalties and allowances that may otherwise be payable (such as, but not limited to, penalties for working on Saturdays or Sundays or early or late shifts, first aid allowance or for working whilst wet) have been incorporated into the ‘loading’ that is applied to the ordinary full-time Monday to Friday rate of pay (which is referred to as the ‘unloaded’ rate of pay throughout this Agreement). Further in the case of Employees who on average work normal hours in excess of 38 hours per week across the roster cycle (by virtue of the 8 week, 4 days on 4 days off roster), the loaded rate is applied to all hours worked within the roster. In respect to these hours, the loaded rate of pay also compensates for the overtime payment that would normally apply to hours worked above the average of 38 hours per week. Refer to Appendix “C” for an illustration. That is for Security Officers, 80.5 hours per fortnight are paid at the loaded rate of pay; and for CRAs and DCRAs, 77 hours per fortnight are paid at the loaded rate of pay. For the sake of clarity, overtime rates of pay are only payable for hours worked that fall outside of the 8 week, 4 days on 4 days off roster, pursuant to clause 5.6.
