Local Spending. Owner agrees it will use commercially reasonable efforts to use contractors and vendors located in the County in the construction of the Improvements, or in the operation and maintenance of the Improvements; provided, however, that Owner will not be required to use goods and services provided by local contractors or vendors where such local goods or services are not comparable in quality to those provided by nonresidents or where such goods and services are not available on terms and conditions (including price and bonding capacity) comparable to those offered by nonresidents. Comparable price is defined as 105% of the price offered by vendors who are not located or based in Stephens County. Notwithstanding the forgoing, the County acknowledges that Owner shall engage a nationally recognized wind energy facility contractor to act as the general contractor of the Improvements, and that Owner or such contractor shall procure specialty equipment, specialty materials, and specialty services, including but not limited to transformers, substation components, and turbine components, and specialized construction and installation services, directly from the manufacturers or distributors of such equipment and materials and from service providers with specialized expertise in wind farm construction (such parties being the “Specialty Contractors”). The parties agree that such actions shall not in any way violate this Section 3.5. Owner agrees to designate and identify to County a coordinator of local services who will act as a liaison between any individuals, businesses, or contractors residing or doing business in the County who are interested in obtaining information about providing goods or services related to the construction of the Improvements. The coordinator of local services is not required to be located in the County. Additionally, Owner agrees to do the following: (1) Not later than one month prior to the start of construction of the Improvements Owner will hold a job fair in Breckenridge, Texas advertising construction employment positions, and soliciting those persons or firms that are interested in selling goods or providing services with respect to the construction of the Improvements. No later than two weeks prior to the job fair, Owner shall publish a notice in the Breckenridge American announcing the date, time and location of the job fair and the procedure for application.   • Health Care Spending Account After six (6) months of permanent employment, full time and part time (20/40 or greater) employees may elect to participate in a Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) Program designed to qualify for tax savings under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code, but such savings are not guaranteed. The HCSA Program allows employees to set aside a predetermined amount of money from their pay, not to exceed the maximum amount authorized by federal law, per calendar year, of before tax dollars, for health care expenses not reimbursed by any other health benefit plans. HCSA dollars may be expended on any eligible medical expenses allowed by Internal Revenue Code Section 125. Any unused balance is forfeited and cannot be recovered by the employee.

  • Prescription Glasses This plan covers prescription glasses as follows: • Frames - one (1) collection frame per plan year; • Lenses - one (1) pair of glass or plastic collection lenses per plan year. This includes single vision, bifocal, trifocal, lenticular, and standard progressive lenses. This plan covers the following lens treatments: • UV treatment; • tint (fashion, gradient, and glass-grey); • standard plastic scratch coating; • standard polycarbonate; and • photocromatic/transitions plastic. This plan covers one (1) supply of contact lenses as follows: • conventional contact lenses - one (1) pair per plan year from a selection of • extended wear disposable lenses - up to a 6-month supply of monthly or two- week single vision spherical or toric disposable contact lenses per plan year; or • daily wear disposable lenses - up to a 3-month supply of daily single vision spherical disposable contact lenses per plan year. This plan also covers the evaluation, fitting, or follow-up care related to contact lenses. This plan covers additional contact lenses if your prescribing network provider submits a verification form, with the regular claim form, verifying that you have one of the following conditions: • anisometropia of 3D in meridian powers; • high ametropia exceeding -10D or +10D in meridian powers; • keratoconus when the member’s vision is not correctable to 20/25 in either or both eyes using standard spectacle lenses; and • vision improvement for members whose vision can be corrected two lines of improvement on the visual acuity chart when compared to the best corrected standard spectacle lenses.

  • Prescription Safety Glasses Prescription safety glasses will be furnished by the employer. The employer retains the authority to establish reasonable rules and procedures regarding frequency of issue, replacement of damaged glasses, limits on reimbursement costs and coordination with the employer's vision plan.

  • STAFF ORIENTATION 4101 The Employer shall provide an appropriate orientation program for nurses newly employed. The orientation program shall include such essential information as policies, nursing procedures, the location of supplies and equipment, fire, safety and disaster plans. Where necessary, orientation shall be provided for nurses moving to a new area of practice. 4102 The Employer shall provide a program of inservice education for nurses pertinent to patient care. 4103 The Employer shall provide, access to reference materials as is required in relation to maintaining current knowledge of general nursing care.   • Health Spending Account contributions by the Executive will cease on the Effective Date. The Executive may submit claims against the balance accrued to the Effective Date, until the end of the calendar year in which the Effective Date occurs.

  • Flexible Spending Accounts Employees in the unit shall have access to the County’s flexible spending account program, which provides employees with the options of dependent care assistance benefits with a calendar year maximum of $5,000, and medical expense reimbursement benefits with a calendar year maximum of $2,400. The County shall maintain this plan in compliance with IRC §125. Employee premiums for flexible spending account benefits shall be deducted on a pre-tax basis from employee pay.

  • Hot Weather Guidelines For the purposes of site based discussions regarding the need to plan and perform work during expected periods of hot weather, the following issues shall be considered in conjunction with proper consideration of Occupational Health and Safety issues.

  • Procurement Planning Prior to the issuance of any invitations to bid for contracts, the proposed procurement plan for the Project shall be furnished to the Association for its review and approval, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 1 of Appendix 1 to the Guidelines.
