Loss of Seniority The seniority rights of an employee shall be lost upon resignation, discharge or retirement. Seniority will not accrue when an employee is on a leave without pay status of six (6) consecutive days or more; provided, that seniority shall not be affected for leaves without pay due to 1) an on- the-job injury or 2) when the employee is on leave without pay because they have exhausted paid leave for an absence caused by their own personal illness.
