Manner of Discipline. If the Employer has reasons to discipline an employee, it should be done in a manner that will not embarrass the employee before other employees or the public. A disciplined employee shall be entitled to Union representation if requested by the employee. Prior to the discharge or disciplinary suspension of an employee, the employer shall notify the employee if possible (i.e. the employee has been a no call/no show for over three consecutive work days) and shall notify the appropriate Union representative of the contemplated action and meet with them to provide the reason. Copies of pertinent documents then available will be supplied. The employee and the Union representative shall be given the opportunity to respond to the charges.
