Common use of MATERNITY, PARENTAL AND ADOPTIVE LEAVE Clause in Contracts

MATERNITY, PARENTAL AND ADOPTIVE LEAVE. For the purposes of maternity leave and adoptive leave the Employment Standards Act shall apply to this Agreement, A) Maternity or Parental leave may be granted up to an additional 4 months where a doctor's certificate is provided, stating that a longer period of leave is required for health reasons. B) The Employee's accumulated sick time may be used immediately following maternity/parental leave if additional leave is required where a doctor's certificate is provided stating that a longer period of leave is required for health reasons.
