Meal Allowances and Rest Periods on Overtime. If the Employee works approved overtime the Employee shall be entitled to meal allowances and rest periods. An Employee working approved overtime of at least two hours in addition to normal working hours, shall be entitled to: • A rest break of at least 20 minutes and not more than 60 minutes. • A meal allowance of $10.90 (in accordance with the Expenses Policy in the Staff Handbook) for the first meal and each subsequent meal applicable to the same shift, or reasonable costs incurred subject to receipts being presented for reimbursement.

  • Meal Periods and Rest Periods (a) Regular hours of work shall include, as scheduled by the Employer, two (2) rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes during each shift of seven and three- quarter (7 3/4) hours and exclude an unpaid meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes.

  • Lunch and Rest Periods A. Each employee working more than four (4) hours per day shall be entitled to a minimum of one-half (1/2) hour duty free lunch period without pay.

  • Rest Period After Overtime (a) When overtime work is necessary, it will, wherever reasonably practicable, be so arranged that employees have at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between the work of successive days or shifts, including overtime.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods 7.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 7.2 below, no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being entitled to a meal break of not less than half an hour. There will be only one meal break of not less than half an hour during a 10 hour shift.

  • Meal and Rest Periods For assignments where the employee is unable to leave for a thirty (30) minute meal period (i.e., live-in, shift or respite) the meal period shall be paid as time worked.   • Paid Rest Periods All Employees shall be given a paid rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in the first and second half of their daily shift in an area made available by the Employer. If mutually agreed to between the parties, the two (2) rest periods shall be combined.

  • Overtime Rest Periods If an employee is assigned one (1) or more hours of overtime work contiguous to his/her regular workshift or is called back within one (1) hour of his/her scheduled quitting time, the Agency will provide a fifteen (15) minute rest period after two (2) hours of overtime completed.

  • Overtime-Eligible Rest Periods ‌ The Employer and the Union agree to rest periods that vary from and supersede the rest periods required by WAC 000-000-000. Employees will be allowed rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes for each one-half (1/2) shift of four (4) or more hours worked at or near the middle of each one-half (1/2) shift of four (4) or more hours. Rest periods do not require relief from duty. Rest periods may not be used for late arrival or early departure from work and rest and meal periods will not be combined.
