AND REST PERIODS. All employees shall be entitled to a paid one-half hour lunch break in each normal work day, paid at the prevailing rate. The Company shall allow employees two work breaks of no more than 15 minutes each, one in each half of a regular shift. An employee shall receive a paid 15-minute work break after completing one hour of overtime work beyond his scheduled shift. Employees shall be afforded identical lunch periods and work breaks on scheduled overtime shifts. Employees working overtime at the completion of their regular shift shall be afforded a fifteen (15) minute work break after completion of one hour overtime. In the event the employee is still working overtime three (3) hours after the completion of his regular shift, he shall then be afforded a paid half hour lunch break. Additional work breaks shall be afforded every two and one-half (2.5) hours thereafter. It is agreed that upon returning to the warehouse at the end of the day, for employees working on the fleet, all breaks will be assumed to have been taken unless prior permission to take breaks at the warehouse at the end of the shift has been given by the employees’ Supervisor. The Company agrees to maintain adequate, clean and sanitary lunchroom and toilet facilities according to government regulations. Employees shall use such facilities carefully and considerately.

As a general rule, employees will not be directed to take paid rest periods within the first hour and one-half of a regular shift. It is acknowledged that unforeseen factors may affect the operation of the system. Wash-up time will not be a specific time allowance, but will be provided in cases where its need is obvious.

AND REST PERIODS. No employee shall be worked longer than four (4) hours without at least one- half hour nor more than one hour off for the purpose of eating lunch. Employees eating lunch shall not be interrupted during such lunch period. An afternoon lunch break will not be allowed except as provided for in item below. All employees shall be entitled to a fifteen (15) minute break in the forenoon and afternoon without loss of pay. The first break in the forenoon must not be taken before at least one and one-half hours have been worked that day. If an employee is to work more than one (1) hour overtime, a rest break shall be allowed before commencement of the overtime. If overtime worked goes beyond two and one-half (2 hours after normal working hours, then the shall be allowed one-half hour eating time at overtime rate and up to allowance amount for a meal, upon producing receipt. Employees traveling to remote areas will be reimbursed actual expenses and will not be limited to the aforementioned meal allowance amount. When an employee is injured at work and goes on Workers’ Compensation, shall, when doctor signifies that the employee may go to work, be returned to the payroll at her previous job and rate of pay for a period of up to one (I) week, to see if is able to do the job held at the time of injury. If the employee is unable to do the job the employee held at the time of injury, the Company will try to place the employee in a job which the employee can do. If this is impractical and the employee’s services are terminated, then the employee shall be entitled to one (1) weeks full pay based on the employee’s pay at the time of severance, for each year of service commencing after the first (1st) year of service. Entitlement to severance is due to job loss provided the employee is no longer eligible for continuing entitlement to Workers’ Welfare benefits.
