Medical Leave of Absences. 1. An administrator may request a medical leave of absence for medical reasons. Such request for a leave of absence shall be in writing and must be approved by the President. Ordinarily, such medical leaves of absence will be for a period of ninety (90) calendar days, but may be extended for good medical reason for longer periods of time. An administrator who has gone on a medical leave of absence of less than one year's duration shall be entitled to return to the job which he left at the commencement of such medical leave, providing such job is then available and further providing that the employee can physically and emotionally perform the job. Such jobs, if filled, will be filled on a temporary basis subject to the employee's return from medical leave of absence. If the administrator is unable to work at the end of twelve months commencing the first day of the leave, the employer may replace the position permanently. The College may require an administrator to submit to a physical or mental examination by an appropriate physician, selected by the College, at College expense prior to return from medical leave of absence. The administrator shall have the right to appeal the findings of such examination and submit findings from a physician of his choice at his expense. If there is a dispute between the findings of the two (2) physicians, the administrator shall have the right to request an examination through the Xxxxx Xxxx Health System or Beaumont Hospitals, the costs of such examination to be shared equally by the Board and the individual administrator. The results of this examination shall be binding upon the administrator, the Association and the College.

  • Medical Leave of Absence Where you have a medical leave of absence due to any medically determinable physical or mental impairment that can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than six months, and you have not returned to employment with the Company or an Affiliate, a Separation from Service has occurred on the earlier of: (A) the first day on which you would not be considered “disabled” under any disability policy of the Company or Affiliate under which you are then receiving a benefit; or (B) the first day on which your medical leave of absence period exceeds 29 months.

  • Medical Leaves of Absence When recommended by an employee's personal physician in writing, a medical leave of absence for a three (3) month period will be granted by the Sheriff. Such leave may be extended for a like three (3) month period or shorter period, within the sole discretion of the Sheriff, up to a maximum of one (1) year. Such extension, if granted, shall be based upon the written certification by the employee's physician that the continued illness or disability precludes the employee from working and the continuation of the leave of absence is necessary. Such leave, up to a maximum of three (3) months, if granted, will be allowed and credited as continuous county service, i.e. seniority continues for the three (3) months only. The employee shall be entitled to his former position or a position for which he is able and capable of performing upon return to work. A medical leave of absence shall be without pay and other fringe benefits, except an employee may use his accumulated sick leave time and accumulated vacation time to avoid loss of wages during such leave.

  • Leave of Absences A leave of absence, subject to the College’s discretion may be granted for a minimum of one term’s absence. All requests for a planned leave of absence from the College, for one term or more, must be submitted in writing to the relevant Head of School for approval at least one full term in advance of the commencement of the leave. The request can be granted only where all Tuition Fees and Charges and any other amounts owing to the College at the time of the request have been paid in full. For an approved leave of absence, 30% of the applicable Tuition Fees will be charged in advance as a holding fee to guarantee re-entry. This is non-refundable and not offset against future Tuition Fees. In addition to the holding fee, the notebook payout fee will be charged to your Family Account. During a leave of absence, the Student will be provided with a broad outline of the curriculum. A leave of absence will not be considered, nor will Tuition Fees or Charges be refunded where schoolwork is still provided, assessed and supervised and/or reports submitted. On a Student’s final day prior to commencing a leave of absence, any College issued device must be returned to the Centre for Computing and Communications (CCC). Should the parent(s) elect to retain the device throughout the leave of absence period, approval must be granted by the Principal. Upon approval, the full payout fee for the device will be charged.

  • Disability Leave of Absence Section 37.1 Leave Without Pay A member incurring any disability not duty-connected after he has exhausted all of the paid leave to which he is entitled and has accumulated, may be granted a leave without pay for a period not to exceed three (3) months, subject to approval and to the following provisions:
