MULTIPLE MODES OF APPOINTMENT. In most cases, a staff member will be employed under a single contract of employment. It is recognised however that, from time to time, full-time and fractional staff may also voluntarily engage in other casual employment with the University, in addition to their normal duties, with the approval of their substantive Cost Centre Manager. In the case of full-time staff, the staff member will be required to make up any scheduled ordinary hours not worked in their full-time appointment. This does not exclude work in their full-time employment which attracts overtime or penalty arrangements.

It is recognised however, that from time to time and in accordance with the University’s ‘Paid Outside Work Procedures’, full-time and part-time staff may also voluntarily engage in other casual employment within the University, in addition to their normal duties, with the approval of their substantive head of organisational area. In the case of full-time staff, the staff member will be required to make up any scheduled ordinary hours not worked in their full time appointment. This does not exclude work in their full time employment which attracts overtime or penalty arrangements. The appointments will be treated as separate engagements in accordance with the respective academic/ professional/ VET Educator clauses of the Agreement.

  • Types of Appointment 2.01 Appointments may be (a) term appointments or (b) confirmed appointments. The term of every appointment and the termination date shall be clearly stated on the appointment notice received by the appointee.

  • Letter of Appointment At the time of hire, or upon change in status, each Nurse shall be provided in writing, with the Nurse’s status as a Regular Nurse; the Nurse’s placement on the increment scale; and where the Nurse is in a Regular or Temporary Position, information describing the Nurse’s position with the Employer, including the designation as to his or her percentage of Full-Time hours.

  • Duration of Appointment The Employment shall be deemed to have commenced on the Commencement Date and shall continue unless terminated in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.

  • XXXXXXXX'S APPOINTMENT The Authority hereby appoints the Supplier as a potential provider of the Services and the Supplier shall be eligible to be considered for the award of Orders for such Services by the Authority and Other Contracting Bodies during the Term and in consideration of the Supplier agreeing to enter into this Framework Agreement and to perform its obligations under it the Authority agrees to pay and the Supplier agrees to accept on the signing of this Framework Agreement the sum of one (£1.00) pound sterling (receipt of which is hereby acknowledged by the Supplier).

  • Term of Appointment 2.1 The Appointment shall commence on the Commencement Date and shall continue, subject to the remaining terms of this agreement, until terminated by either party giving the other not less than three months’ prior notice in writing.
